It never mattered to me what others said about me. I always did my own thing. So when they told me I couldn't live out my dreams, I proved them wrong. And God, did it felt perfect. All of my senses were amplified, and my body felt lighter. I'd never felt my heart feel so light yet heavier than any weight before in my life. The wind felt so carefree, sliding through every messy strand of hair, hugging my body with a gentleness, it almost hurt. All I could see was this magnificent sky, the plump clouds, the faintest lines of planet Venus so far away yet so close. Nothing felt more magical. Even if I knew this was it for me, at least I'll have lived my dream of being up in the sky. The falling wasn't even as horrifying as I had anticipated, it was actually liberating. I know any second I'll die, but only in this life, only in this body. But I know, that each life after me, I'll continue to touch the clouds, I'll continue to reach for the stars. Because one day, I wont just touch a star, I'll become one. I'll become a star that shines so bright and big, another little girl will dream to reach me. My dreams, my strength, my love, will burn until all the stars burn out around me, and even then, I'll still find a way to shine.
