I think alot of the problems with the design is that it is to busy, raised desks with big bits of lit up red. I think that if they took a more minimal and elegant approach like sportsdays design, it would look a lot better, and even though it’s come to be the colour we most associate with bbc news they need to replace the red, I quite like the colour they used for the budget bit 10:55 but I would be hard as literally everything BBC News owns has some dark red part to it.
Odd man out was NewsNight with the only surviving score by George Fenton, liked Focus on Africa, not The World Today remix of a 2004 score, would have liked the final, former World News Today score instead pointless was Lucy Hocking with the bland BBC News score, why not bring back her unique Live programme with its own identity, music, graphics and music, would be nice to a return of Worklife or Business Live.
Some of the graphics are starting to look pretty basic, the refreshed BBC Breakfast titles is pretty dire, like a high school project. The combination of clunky, basic graphics and inadequate authoritative presentation style are a major turnoff. Matthew is bravely soldiering on, but there are few decent natural presenters who can front a 3 hour show without looking like a rabbit staring into the headlights of an oncoming car - and BBC News is fast becoming a car crash - even the national UK bulletins have lost gravitas and credibility. Really quite a turnaround give the importance of BBC News before 2005. As for BBC World, the era from 1999 to 2005 looks like it will never be beaten or bettered.
This is the worst the news channel has ever looked. The Powerpoint style graphics look cheap and tacky and the classic hourly news graphics are incredibly tired and don't work with the chameleon branding scheme. As for the strap, ticker etc - the constant red is overbearing and ugly. About a third of the screen is covered with the solid red cover. What a total mess.
@@LalremDika-om8hc I wouldn't have thought budget cuts were to blame for these. Just some lazy animation guidelines and low standards. The World Today's intro is the best, combines real life stock footage with the animation style. That was presumably made on the same budget

It's so weird that multiple programmes are now defunct, just 4 months later.
My favorite is definitely The World Today, they brought back the 2000 BBC World theme!
Its time they refreshed the regular news hour grahics. These ones are 16 years old!

Asia, World Business Report Is Become Business Today Now Please Update It
Why the graphics of BBC nowadays looks plain and cheap
Because it's simple graphics and cheap graphics companies love to "inspire" their graphics from BBC
Budget cuts.
Newsday intro is terrible
Million times better that the others.
Sports day better❤
