love love love wicked!! personal favourite musical is definitely Crazy For You,, little bit niche but the soundtrack is incredible and there's a few versions on youtube that are so so worth watching
OMH GOSH FIRST! ily so much Amanda... you r my inspiration for art!!! i have been watching you for 5 years now.... love from Indonesia! u r killing it!!!!!
If you haven't given it a listen, I can't possibly recommend 'Ragtime' enough. Its an incredible story with some of the most amazing music and heartstopping, gut-wrenching lyrics. The original broadway cast has some of the GOATs of Broadway, and its currently in the process of a revival with the original composer! Ragtime is truly a MASTER CLASS of storytelling through music, and it never fails to make me emotional.
First, I have to say you are a PHENOMENAL artist!! Second, my favorite musical of all time is Les Miserables. I saw it in person 6 times, and one of those I was in ‘standing room only’. My fave song from it is ‘Bring Him Home’, and ‘I Dreamed a Dream’, but I love all of the songs throughout. ❤️
I absolutely love this spread and the movie too. One of my favorite musical is Hairspray and my favorite song from it is without love. I only seen The Lion King live but I would love to see more especially The Phantom of the Opera.
favourite musical movie: sweeney todd!!!! i saw it in person too as a community run production and it was amazing. other favourite in person shows i’ve been to: aladdin, les mis, wicked
loved being a part of the stream for this month's cover page, I am also fully in musical brainrot now 😅 my favorite musical of all time is Next to Normal, which I know I have to be in attendance for if it ever comes back to Broadway.
Aida was incredible, I was lucky enough to see it on Broadway when I was in high school. I think I would pay an obscene amount of money to see it again if they ever tour!
Love this theme so muchhhh! Anyway, my fave musical is Company, which I never got the chance to see live (I live in Asia 😔), but what I really do want to see on stage is probably Gypsy. Also, I can’t wait for part 2 of Wicked, would probably cry my eyes out the moment I hear “For Good” 🥹
I live in NY I've seen 4 musicals this year my favorite was Outsiders and Moulin Rouge I finally got to see Aaron Tveit since Roxanne and Great Expectation was amazing from the Outsiders. I also saw Cabaret with Eddie Redmaynes as well and Sweeney Todd with Josh Groban.
Yes, I know it’s a cliche by now but she’s really holding space with that cover. Also, yet another reminder that I’m so inspired by these covers. I finished my 2024 digital calendar and it’s come out so good.
Okay but I cried multiple times during the movie??? Emotional musical numbers always get me, but I cried during the FIRST NUMBER??? Actual unstoppable tears during all of Defying Gravity??? How dare they, honestly!
you have to see Phantom of The Opera when it comes up again! I think they have discontinued the musical, but you have to see it when they come out again, hopefully
My favorite musical songs include: All I ask of you from Phantom of the Opera, Just you wait from My Fair Lady, City of stars from La La Land and I'm not that Girl from Wicked The musicals I have seen live my favorite being Cats, I've seen spamalot, the Full Monty, My Fair Lady, Singing in the Rain, Into the Woods
My daughter and I are huge Wicked fans. We’ve seen it twice on Broadway and twice in Dallas. For her 16th birthday, we lucked into front row tickets right behind the conductor. An amazing experience! My daughter was a musical theater kid and one of her last shows was Aida (pronounced I-ee-da). It was an amazing musical that will make you laugh and cheer and cry. I was set designer and props for her group, so I got to hear all those beautiful voices many times. Go see it! You won’t be disappointed. 💯😃
I cry every time I think about for good. Every time they did a nod to it in the movie, I’m crying. Seeing you make a spread with the lyrics, I’m crying. All in all, I’m crying lol
Hello Amanda, nice job this month. Have you heard about 'Mozart L'opera Rock'? it's a musical that shows Mozart's life in a very theatrical dramatic way. You can find some songs in UA-cam. I particularly recommend 'Le bien que fait mal', 'L'assasymphonie' and 'Tatoue Moi' but they have a lot more. I hope you like my recommendation 😊
What’s the name for this font style? Absolutely obsessed with this theme! Wicked has been on a constant loop since seeing the movie both the broadway soundtrack and the movie 🤩💚🩷
