Orrrrr... the ghosts remain and the final scene only seen by the viewer shows that the baby, only a few months old can also see and hear the ghosts!

Listen I will repeat this until I die but a properly fitted corset worn with the appropriate undergarments is very comfortable and the reason they were ended was because we all went stupid and got some really bad ideas about what corsets should look like and then another war happened and we all just gave up because we had to stop making them anyway and early 20th century corsets sucked balls. An S bend corset would be very uncomfortable and somewhat painful to wear (edwardian period, so what lady button would be wearing but I'm not sure if they actually put her through that), but a Victorian corset and every corset/pair of stays that came before that was perfectly functional and comfortable and was about offering bust and posture support, not changing the figure
I think there are some things that factor into this: 1) Actors don't get properly fitted corsets or don't get the opportunity to break them in, as the expense and what it looks like are more important in the industry than comfort. Costume designers might also not have a ton of experience with corsets and focus their limited time on garments that will be seen. 2) Modern women are not used to wearing corsets - while corsets are not unhealthy if fitted well, they are tight and prevent some forms of movement like bending over (at least upper-class-corsets). This probably feels weird and uncomfortable in the sense that you are restricted from slouching/bending, which you are used to doing. So the corset might actually help your posture, but it still does not feel good. 3) Many actresses probably get corsets that are tight-laced because society is still a little obsessed with being slim and stuff and a tight corset is just another opportunity of making your actress look more "beautiful". So while historically corsets were not terrible and oppressive things women were forced to wear, corsets in films can be uncomfortable for a number of reasons and we should not belittle actresses for sharing their experiences (or those they hear about from other actors).
@@kathrinlindern2697 I am not belittling them at all, let alone for sharing their experiences, I'm correcting the idea that their experiences are a result of corsets being oppressive and the expectation that they must be uncomfortable or painful simply because they're a corset, that's just not true. I also would disagree that they're made by someone inexperienced with corset making, the designers aren't usually the ones making every single garment and it would be absurd to do a show that required corsets and not hire someone who knew how to make corsets, I agree on the other points but I think blaming the makers of the corsets with no evidence is a little unfair to them
Everyone in this comedy is excellent. But the Alison and Mike characters have a particularly tough challenge because they have to be 'ordinary' in the middle of a crowd of special and very clearly defined ghost-characters; so can't rely on visual gimmicks or supernatural surprises. And yet Mike and Alison still have to stand out and be relatable and interesting in their own right. The casting has just been inspired. I mean, Geoffrey McGivern and Sophie Thompson, for example!
That would be awesome! Although, I'm pretty sure it won't be a bobble-head, the only Pop! figures that have bobble-heads are Marvel and Star Wars ones. I think it's to do with strict licensing or something.
@@BerserkGoblin it would be so cool to have one though, dont you think? Someone created pop bobble heads for the yonderland elders, but idk if they're for sale. Still, I'd LOVE to have one, if I did I'd cherish it with all my heart 😂
@@idiotsassemble5698 Definitely! And the company that makes them (Funko) also makes exclusive/limited edition figures, there could be loads of different variants of the Ghosts! Like Thomas holding Humphrey's head or a rainbow captain ❤

Mat petting his beard cracks me up. I have to laugh, especially after an old interview where he says he can't really grow [a good] one. Not true anymore! And it must be different to have one he can actually mess with, as opposed to all the fake ones he's had over the years. His muppet voice at the end is the BEST. So endearing. 🥰
Having watched every episode, why do I love Robin the most? He's clearly the most intelligent of the group. The funniest because of that, perhaps. How did you choose his and other characters' names? What's happened to the plague villagers living in the cellar? Why doesn't Robin know them better? He pre-dates them.
Corsets were actually not too bad for the women at the time. If they were so bad and constricting working women wouldn’t have worn them all day whilst doing labour. The only issue was when they were badly fitted or tight laced, which was very rare and wasn’t encouraged, but the same issue could happen if a bra was badly fitted or the wrong size. Bernadette Banner has some good videos on yt about it.
Yeah, right. You're forgetting how many women died from having their internal.organs compressed. (A slow gradual agonising death) Just shows how unnatural humans have become - in nature, it's the male who has to be attractive and lure a mate. All this stress on women to be "beautiful" is wrong
@@lenawagenfuehr53 what are your sources for this? I found sources that discuss how some corsets were helpful at most but not too damaging at the least by the NYAM: www.google.co.uk/amp/s/nyamcenterforhistory.org/2015/05/29/did-corsets-harm-womens-health/amp/
@@exhaustion3688 Yeah, you're correct, but it's a pretty resilient myth. I used to believe it but I've learned it's not true. And you'd be hard pressed to find death records citing "compressed organs", much less "due to wearing a corset"! Zero evidence, lots of hype. Bernadette Banner knows what she's talking about, as does my friend who's a professional corset-maker.
Thank you Exhaustion, I was looking for this comment! Please look up Abby Cox or Bernadette Banner for great informative and well researched videos on the subject. Bernadette Banner puts all her sources in the description of her videos
Corsets were actually not anywhere near as bad as we tend to think of them as. Bernadette Banner (on UA-cam) has great videos on it if anyone’s interested
I have been watching all 3 seasons over and over! I could recite each episode from memory! It's just my favorite show, I love British shows, and my life goal is to move to England, so I can't get enough of all things British.
I love how everyone seems awkward about the “free pass” question. The concept is kind of weird but it’s a fun discussion. I have to check with my husband, his has been Gabrielle Union for years, AFAIK. We haven’t discussed it recently to make sure we’re up-to-date. But we kind of just talk about who we think is a catch as we casually watch tv. And we’ll often agree. It’s fun. I’m not sure who mine would be, currently, I have so many little celebrity crushes though . . . . I think it might be nice to keep it the same since my teen years, Ethan Embry. ❤️ But getting to sleep with some fantasy celeb is different than a crush. Is there a female equivalent for uxorious? I really, really fancy the guy who is my husband, lol. Getting to spend time with him, any time at all, is so fun, I even say in traffic “hey, more time for the two of us to just hang out!” Now, if you’re REALLY comfortable and stable in your marriage, talk about who among each other’s friends you think is most attractive or you’d want a “free pass” with.
As I've said before, both my daughter and I really fancy Jim Howick. He's so cool and reminds me of many Monday evenings spent at Brownies...and carrying the flag... and I'm an agnostic! I'm loving the third series of Ghosts, especially Julian and the Captain, and I maintain an open mind on the American version. Go Jim and Mat (I have a serious crush on Jim).

Love these Q&A sessions 💕
Same!
Omg imagining robin just acting like a cat like you get home and he's just watching
6:39 No because in season 3 Thomas actually says "does he always look at us as if we're up there?"😂
*Up in the air
I'm just appreciating Mat's taste in music right now, Bonnie Prince Billy on his wall 😍
Larry looks so damn cute I'm genuinely gonna cry😭😭😭
Such a handsome chap ain't he. He's been my favourite since they all first started in HH. Xx 💞
@@lindsaybrockwell2464 he really is😍😍
Same! He’s So Cute!
@@jenkpopdeuk he's adorable, I love him🥺🥰
Same
"Yeaaaaah boi. love it"
Kiell is a legend omg😭
Loved the Christmas Special. MORE GHOSTS PLEASE. I love the show.
Came across this show on HBO and My whole family LOVES IT!
I laugh so hard every time.
What ghost would I take ?
Thomas, Pat, and Robin.
I would love Thomas to read to me. Help me go to sleep. Pat because he is so agreeable and helpful. And Robin because he is like having a pet around. And I Like the way he say Moonah !
Lol
Thank you for making these! Love the series. Best series in a while!
Loving Larry's hair. xx
Daddy gonna drill a hole in the wall!
“Daddy gonna fix the boiler nah-ow…” 👏😂
Just binged series 3 on HBO MAX and am even more in love with the show!! 💜👻
A soundtrack would be neat. Thomas’s poems, kitty’s random songs, pats radio voice, moonah stone songs.
How didn't Kiell know that the gooseberries were real I'm losing my mind
They WERE fake. Tom Kingsley backed Kiell up on Twitter, and Mat apologised.
I'd very much like a Ghosts mug
Redbubble. I have a captain one its AMAZING
22:57 I once went to Shakeaway (A place where you can make your own milkshake) and I had a gooseberry and oreo one. That's one of the decisions in my life that I truly regret.
I love you guys thank you so much for cheering me up after a rough shift where I didnt finish work till 1 AM 😊 x
My partner, daughter & me we absolutely adore Robbin. We wish so much that there was such a thing and we have a Robbin in our house. Sometime 😂 when our light flicker at home we say it just Robbin😂 Robbins likes playing with lights switch a character. His such a lovely creation Robbin. ❤❤❤😍😍😍🤗🤗🤗🌟🌟🌟
I never appreciated how difficult it must be for Kiell
I think there are some things that factor into this:
1) Actors don't get properly fitted corsets or don't get the opportunity to break them in, as the expense and what it looks like are more important in the industry than comfort.
I also would disagree that they're made by someone inexperienced with corset making, the designers aren't usually the ones making every single garment and it would be absurd to do a show that required corsets and not hire someone who knew how to make corsets, I agree on the other points but I think blaming the makers of the corsets with no evidence is a little unfair to them
I forgot about this lmao but im so happy
Same! I Watched It First Like 1 Week Ago 😂
How did I miss this?! I love this show so much it’s actually embarrassing.
PLEASE DROP GHOSTS MERCH I WOULD DO ANYTHING FOR A THOMAS POP! BOBBLE HEAD 😂🤩
Jools Harmes I have Disney ones with Bobble heads and a Hermione granger and Luna with Bobble heads😂
I’d prefer a kitty one
Dude even as a woman I would so happily wear Thomas’ consume any day. Idk whether that’s costume envy or gender envy or what but I would love to wear that all day everyday
Mat's beard is so bushy i love it when he pets it 😍
Also 34:25
Mat petting his beard cracks me up. I have to laugh, especially after an old interview where he says he can't really grow [a good] one. Not true anymore! And it must be different to have one he can actually mess with, as opposed to all the fake ones he's had over the years.
His muppet voice at the end is the BEST. So endearing. 🥰
Thanks for these uploads. And yes there was an “old” Diorama Arts Centre I used to work at 😆 (work and performance spaces)
Having watched every episode, why do I love Robin the most? He's clearly the most intelligent of the group. The funniest because of that, perhaps. How did you choose his and other characters' names? What's happened to the plague villagers living in the cellar? Why doesn't Robin know them better? He pre-dates them.
Legends! Hope you’re all doing great :)
I love this show, thanks for the content!
Merch: A good lord Tshirt or the captains stick
If I can’t get a tape measure that measures in potatoes as merch I will be disappointed
You are now my hero 🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔
My mum said “I just want something nice to happen to them, I don’t like bad things happening!”
Omg limo edition Ghosts top trumps!!!!!!!
Was supposed to say limited edition Ghosts top trumps.
There’s Not Many Characters Though Sadly 😅
@@jenkpopdeuk Just add in some of the plague characters
I know it’s still not out yet, but when will we get series 2 on DVD in Canada? Can’t wait to see it!
Fellow graduates from Bernadette, Karolina, and Abbey's school! Hello there!
If you still have that test tape, release it on UA-cam please!
Her skin is so clear and glowing
Corsets were actually not anywhere near as bad as we tend to think of them as. Bernadette Banner (on UA-cam) has great videos on it if anyone’s interested
YES!
I was hoping to see a comment about that! Karolina Zebrowska is also a good person for info, in case anyone's reading this and interested
@@gaildahlas Excellent! I knew there was another awesome lady I was forgetting!
Abby Cox is also good. She demonstrates how much extra room there is in corsets and how you can absolutely breathe in them
Jill Bearup has a video demonstrating how little corsets hinder movement/comfort even for scenarios like fighting - she does stage combat.
I have been watching all 3 seasons over and over! I could recite each episode from memory! It's just my favorite show, I love British shows, and my life goal is to move to England, so I can't get enough of all things British.
Charlotte on Taskmaster hype!
Agree that Kael (sorry if ive spelled it wrong) makes such a good.job of.acting around.pwople.he isn't supposed to be able to see, it is so.skillful.
"he's also put in brackets 'also I would die for robin'"
"well you dont have to"
Charlotte and Kiell matching shirts is cute as fuck
I love how everyone seems awkward about the “free pass” question. The concept is kind of weird but it’s a fun discussion. I have to check with my husband, his has been Gabrielle Union for years, AFAIK. We haven’t discussed it recently to make sure we’re up-to-date. But we kind of just talk about who we think is a catch as we casually watch tv. And we’ll often agree. It’s fun.
I’m not sure who mine would be, currently, I have so many little celebrity crushes though . . . . I think it might be nice to keep it the same since my teen years, Ethan Embry. ❤️
But getting to sleep with some fantasy celeb is different than a crush. Is there a female equivalent for uxorious? I really, really fancy the guy who is my husband, lol. Getting to spend time with him, any time at all, is so fun, I even say in traffic “hey, more time for the two of us to just hang out!”
Now, if you’re REALLY comfortable and stable in your marriage, talk about who among each other’s friends you think is most attractive or you’d want a “free pass” with.
6:14 I literally had a whole drama lesson about what acting is and my teacher said that at the end
Thank you- just found this. Monday 21st can't get here quick enough!
Id love to be on ghosts, I'd be too nervous to do anything though lol
