Great video as always. I use the arrow keys (and shift) to highlight text. For smaller sections of text, I often find it faster and more precise than doing it with the trackpad. Question: The 12.9 Ipad + magic keyboard is a bit odd on the lap, as the IPAD weight keeps pulling the device away from you, forcing you to grab the keyboard to stabilize it. Does the 11” offer better lap balance - since the 11” is lighter than the 12.9” but the magic keyboards are apparently similar weight. Would be great to get your thoughts. Thanks.

I do use the arrow keys in “Numbers,” which is Apple’s version of “Excel.” Regarding the kickstand moving back as you tap the screen, I purchased some very inexpensive ‘foam pads’ at a hardware store that I placed on the edge of the kickstand, eliminating the scooting back. The number one reason I like the Logitech Folio Touch is the protection of the iPad. I want something that will protect my expensive iPad in case I drop it. I do not want to take the iPad in and out of the case. I want to always keep it in the case. I also really like that you can keep the iPad in its case when you use the different modes: typing, sketching, book and viewing. The third thing I really like are the two different ways to place the Apple Pencil in the holder. I want a case that’s going to hold my expensive Apple Pencil without fear that it’s going to drop.

I use the Logitech folio keyboard for my I-pad (8th gen not the pro version) and I was very surprised on how the keyboard is so responsive and actually has a backlit keyboard. I used to have a old logitech keyboard for my first gen I-pad and found that the keyboard was so laggy and had no backlit on the keys. I would recommend the Logitech and save some money!

I’m being completely honest here; the Logitech really surprised me - from the cons you pointed out in your vid just doesn’t correspond with my experience. Keys, trackpad/strolling, positioning the case on my lap all feels great. Protection and robustness is outstanding. Best investment I’ve made in a longtime and with Logitechs firmware update app for the keyboard was the icing on the cake. I’ve worked on Mac for nearly 25 years so Great job Logitech, very impressive product. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I have the 12.9 iPad, so the cost of the Magic Keyboard was more than 299, and it’s still worth it. Expensive? It hurt for a minute, but not anymore! I believe in getting what I want. This magic keyboard is pretty awesome and I haven’t regretted the purchase. Other keyboards just don’t cut it. Nothing out there does what the Magic Keyboard does or how it does it. I do wish there was a storage for the pencil on the back. Almost lost my pencil the first day. But, I purchased a pencil sling from amazon for $10. It solves the problem. I hate that kickstand on other keyboards. Did I mention with the 12.9, it’s a bigger keyboard? I couldn’t imagine typing on a 11 inch.

I brought the Apple keyboard and about to exchange it for the Logitech. The price tag is simply ridiculous for how limited the device is. You can't can right-click and for how convenient the USB C placement it's not like it doubles as a hub. I can use that extra 150% on something else

Great video. I prefer the magic keyboard. If I didn’t want to easily take my iPad off its keyboard I’d buy a MacBook. The lap usage of the Logitech looks even more clumsy than the Surface Pro.

Great video and I whole heartedly agree this is hands down the best keyboard-mouse-case combo money can buy.

As soon as you mentioned the difficulty typing on your lap, my mind was instantly made up. Lol I type on my lap ALL the time. Plus the magic keyboard just has so many more features that sound better. The only thing I think logitek has going for it is the case and the function keys. Magic keyboard just sounds better all around.

Yes I use the arrow keys. But mostly on UA-cam, lol. Up and down arrows will adjust the volume (this can actually be better than using system volume) and forward and backward will jump the video forward and backwards.

I use the arrow keys because im huge into media consumption and games. For the magic keyboard or any keyboard theyre great for fast forward and rewind, using the mouse sometimes you might wind up flying back or forward to far while with the arrow keys you can move just seconds per click

The lap test is important, would have loved the price of the logitech though.

If you have the FT you have almost no reason to touch the screen which makes the wobbly -when-tapping issue moot. Overall great comparison!

When I went to get my iPad I was ready to purchase the smart keyboard folio that is until I heard about the Logitech Folio Touch a few hours earlier. The magic keyboard wasn’t an option for me because of the price but I decided to go with the Logitech Folio Touch case. Yeah the magic keyboard is cool and has slightly better features and all of that but I favor functionality over aesthetics. I knew if I got the magic keyboard I would have to spend extra to get the protection I wanted to protect the sides of my iPad. With the Folio Touch I don’t have to worry about being afraid that my iPad is going to to get damaged. Another huge plus and deciding factor for me was the function row of keys, as mentioned. That’s one of the best things about this case. I’ve never used the magic keyboard before and I’ve never owned a macbook so I have nothing to compare the trackpad experience to other than my 15.6” Lenovo Yoga laptop. I think it’s amazing that I can get a feel for the trackpad gestures that apple provides without spending an arm and a leg for it. I’m very happy and content with my purchase. Best $160 ever spent!!
