To be fair Adam missed out a key bit of information from the Monty Hall problem. He should have told Dan prior to picking that the host has to reveal a goat from behind one of the 2 doors left after you have made your choice, that's the reason you always change. Because the odds are 2/3 that you have chosen a goat, so on those 2/3 occasions the host has basically told you where the car is when he shows you the remaining goat, so you get the car 2/3 times by switching. Only on 1/3 occasions will you have chosen the car to begin with, he'll show you a goat, and you'll switch and choose the other goat and lose the car. But you wouldn't know that unless you knew that he absolutely must show you a goat after you've made your choice.
Also, the Monty Hall problem has absolutely zero relevance to deal or no deal. It's pure 50/50 whether you stick of twist in deal or no deal. You aren't presented with any information about the holdings of each box. The odds of it being in your box or any of the other boxes are completely the same.
