    I believe you’re missing the point. It’s to prevent the wrinkles when you’re a side sleeper or sleep on your face. It keeps the skin from folding over on itself therefore preventing further damage. I’ve tried to train myself to be a back sleeper to no avail and taping definitely helps.

      Try an orthapedic pillow that has little indentations for your head, I used to be a side/front sleeper and this pillow helped me to train myself to sleep on my back! (plus I don't have achey neck/back anymore, bonus!)

    Actually, I started to use it lately from time to time. It's really has a great result. I dont have deep wrinkles . You are totally right concerning the disadvantages. Actually, the only disadvantage thing I faced is while removing them the first time I used it, I hurt myself because I was removing them, just the way that lady is removing the k-tape. Without using oil or water . And it caused me deep scratching on my cheek.
    Now I make sure to spray/wash my face with water, and after they get wet then the process of removing them would be so easy and harmless.

    It totally works. I genetically tend to have pronounce frown lines (aka eleven lines) and started taping while sleepping about 2 years ago and its night and day diference. Yes its true the lines are not completely gone but they are barely visible now. During the day, if In exposed to the sun a lot or if I cry, the lines become visible again. But a good 10 hrs of taping mix with good night sleep and they are gone the next day. Especially after taping for years the effect is more visible. There is not a single day I dont use it. Even uf I need a nap during the day i will not nap without the tape. I havent had ANY bad effects.

    I have been taping my face since age 12. Yes age 12. My mom and I were professional dancers and she did this and taught me. This does work. I use a certain tape from the store for over 40 years now. Several rules to follow and it works.

    • @zoo9830
      @zoo9830 10 місяців тому +60

      Yes!! First I always use a moisturizer at night that is effective but not oily or greasy as the tape will slip off. The tape I use I get at Target or whoever has it. It is the very specific scotch tape brand that is labeled “gloss” and the color is red and yellow plaid packaging. It never sticks too hard and stays but is also easy to take off. I focus on my forehead, between the eyes, below the eyes and wherever a wrinkle wants to start. I am fortunate though and do not have mouth wrinkles. I hardly have any wrinkles really. A short while back I noticed some lines starting above my eyebrows so I started tape in those areas too. Here is the reason why it works and also how to help it:
      Other than aging skin, we exacerbate wrinkles with our facial expressions. We also frown while we dream at night and the pillow pushes up skin around our lower eyes. We also frown in the sun. So wearing sunglasses all the time is a must, BUT you must train yourself not to squint even if wearing sunglasses. My mother taught me that young. Also if you can wrinkle your clothes and then iron them, the same is with your skin. Sleeping 8 hours a night with that wrinkle pressed out will help it, but you must watch unnecessary facial expressions during the day like frowning. And moisturize, moisturize along with a good diet and hydration and no smoking. And low to no alcohol. But you can keep those lines at bay because just as you wrinkle the skin with an expression or position in bed, you can undo it also or if very young, prevent them. My mom died at 78 and had not one line on her forehead. Tree of Life hydrating face cream and their Niacinimide serum underneath.

      @@zoo9830first I’m sorry about your momma, may she rest in peace🙏🏼🙏🏼
      But yes you are so spot on, I had this wrinkle under my mouth, not Marietta line( or whatever they are called) but it was horizontal to the right and left above chin, I seen this face taping thing and omg it absolutely worked, I figured that’s why I was getting them, the right side deeper cause I always slept on that side, but I don’t know if I caught in time but they are not there anymore, I do it every night, not with that specific tape, i buy the cloth white roll or the one that looks like a bandage or the ones on Amazon, plus I trained myself to sleep on back and I got that sleep and glow pillow lol, but you are so right it absolutely works, I just got into skincare mid 40s but this face taping is an absolute must!!

    I'm 40, and have been face taping for 3 months. My main concern area was nasolabial area, which was caused by general aging and also because I am a side sleeper. Putting the tape on the area helps to immobilise it, so it cannot fold as deeply. It's just a minor thing that mechanically stops it from creasing, but hey every bit helps! (I still get botox and threadlifts, and generally I look late 20s)

I haven’t tried it yet, but I would imagine it’s going to remove the dead surface skin not unlike retinol which overtime can really make the skin look much improved.

      that's exactly what i was thinking, i like the idea of it and i would try it out but i guess i'd still rather use skincare over some tape that might dry out/damage my skin even more... i'm not aware of any silicone pads or whatever that could stick over my serums and cream and allow me to side sleep, so basically putting glue over my wrinkles seems counterintuitive to me
