The amount of customization in this game is just staggering. Very underrated title. I love the way they have coupled game mechanic changes with cosmetic changes too.
yeah the whole fun of the game is customisation, so the more content we get, the more exponentially fun the game gets. So happy they did at least 1 more season pass.
It's odd that the tropical biome wasn't in the Empire and Ashes DLC when that was the one that had bird people and the vaguely pirate themed faction in it.
Take advantage of outposts to secure magical resources, focus on a couple affinities to unlock the bonuses from the empire tree. Mystic, Nature, and Shadow affinities are very powerful. Prioritize food production and Imperium generation to stay ahead of the expansion curve. Clear infestations and bronze wonders early.

AoW4 has a fun design on the surface. But it is not the "chess" that I wanted.
Combining AOW4 with the Total War engine could have been cool.
