That rogue is a frustrated person who is bad at the game, so they are too coward to play up to level 60. So they spend their time griefing people in SFK below level 30, as it's a "safe level" with not much investment -- it thus becomes their way of coping with their impotence and still have some fun playing the damn game!
That rogue saved energy and even used thistle tea to kill the war in the first clip, but mc ended before his last blow, so he just typed "omg" to make it look like a mistake. He then thought it would be weird to kill the warrior right in front of everyone in the second mc, so he waited for third mc and tried once more but failed to kill again. But that caused heal to focus heavilly on the tank, so hunter was left in half health only to be killed by the boss at the last second.
Also because the rouges dmg from the boss was missing, the boss had a lot more time to do dmg killing the hunter, literally just a couple more attacks and Arugal by that time would've already been dead and couldn't kill him.
The reason why you spam mindblast and mindflay is that the Mobs in higher lvl zones are way tankier and harder to kill with just dot and wand. The priest also fucked up so hard
You're right on the priest, what he's doing is pure nonsense -- wand autoattack is your main damage tool and you use basically nothing else besides dots until lvl 60. Sometimes you'll cast an offensive spell here and there, like a Smite opener for example, but 95% of the time you should be wanding at mobs. It costs no mana and can't be interrupted and it's roughly the same dps as using spells -- if you got a good blue dps wand of course. It's basics of priest leveling, that we have to run dungeons to get obscure blue wands that no one else needs, it baffles me how people go into HC while ignoring the most foundational aspects of their class and not even looking up a basic guide.
That rogue getting layered made my heart sink. I had it happen to me with a warrior months ago. He DC'd and before we could reinvite him to our layer, he died. We were stoked to go back into the Deadmines, too as we had a very smooth and fast run (this was before they implemented the 24 hour lockdowns to prevent Stock and Mara Boosting). Was very disheartening and we lost our desire to continue running.
Wasting other people's time in a game about wasting time in hardcore that requires extra amounts of wasted time to not die, in a genre designed around wasting the player's time as much as possible to stay subscribed, is a certified WoW hardcore classic experience.
The fact that so many of these deaths weren't even the person's fault is what bothers me. I could get behind hardcore if it was fair, but it isn't. And I could handle unfair if the penalty was experience loss like in EQ. But no, one death = delete the character, and you can die because of any kind of network interruption.
This is why i stopped playing on stiches. Too many griefers are on this server. I had healers not healing the tank, ranged dps pulling additional packs intentionnally to wipe the grp, warriors rolling need on +healing in SM over casters/priests because "they need to start stacking healing gear" and then stopped tanking because they lost the roll (over a priest mind you) and so much more. Ive been playing on nekrosh now and its night and day difference. Big shout out to this server ppl are super chill and helpfull. Stiches is aids for real
Not trying to defend the griefers because I think they are horrible people but isn't this what you get playing a hardcore mode in a game like WoW? I mean it's just the perfect place for griefers and they will always exist. I think the best thing to do is to just not group up with other people if you want to avoid getting griefed (which isn't a 100% guarantee but at least you don't have to trust any other people). It seems like this rogue was even trying to kill his guildie mate.
@@SimonB-nv6zz These people are one in a million, the vast majority of the hardcore players are players that make you actually feel like you are playing an mmo, very unlike any other iteration of wow, even era.
I'm sure a single Hunter (with 20% of his damage nerfed because Arcane Shot just gets resisted) and a Mage who has half his spells resisted have a really easy time killing the boss by themselves. Especially with the healer too busy keeping the warrior alive from the backstabbing rogue.
you dont wand much after you get shadowform and go full shadow if you have the spirit proc on kill you can cast mindflay nonstop as long as you are getting killing blows this priest just failed to reshield himself wasting his mindflay casts to the pushback multiple times which is a massive mana drain I normally go disc to 40 then make the swap to shadow because wands turn into a dumpsterfire till raid wands at that point so you end up just wasting mana healing yourself cause stuff dies far slower
1:40 that is an objectively bad player on HC. I'm not saying this just because he didn't wand the creature to death, I'm saying this because my SF Priest when it was 5-8 levels lower than him was better geared. They barely recovered mana during their spirit tap, at that level you should have enough Spirit that you recover most of your mana that you used to kill a single creature. This means not only are they using too much mana per fight but that they still don't understand the importance of allowing for mana to regenerate, especially when fighting. They interrupted their spirit regen to cast spells twice. Which would be fine if they had decent mana regen but they clearly don't. Also, fun fact, holy spec is better for levelling from level 52 onwards. Yes, I'm aware that shadow hits 25% harder as shadow, but shadow vulnerability builds up so slowly it's only really useful for dungeons or elites as you rarely hit the 15% vulnerability. People however underestimate how good "Spiritual Guidance" is, which gives 25% of your spirit as SP. For me I had over 50 extra SP at level 45 as an additional, but the important feature of what makes it really strong and good for grinding is that it stacks with "Spirit Tap", meaning that you get another 50 SP for 15 seconds after killing a creature. Effectively I could cast three spells and wand a creature to death in the same amount of time that a Shadow Priest could kill one thing and I'd have the majority of my mana back by the time they died. "Spirit Tap" would get the rest of my mana back by the time I moved to the next creature and started casting. Its efficiency with my gear allowed me to clear out mobs faster than SP. Level 52 specifically because it allows you to grab all the good discipline talents along with spirit tap.
The biggest problem I saw was they failed to reshield before casting mindflay multiple times, dumping massive amounts of mana for almost no gain, and at the end dotting the mob was a bad choice vs. one target and oom. Wanding and using mana only for shield is the correct choice. Had he waited a few seconds for shield he would have been fine if he stood his ground, and he also would have had the option to shackle then just stand there regening till he got some mana back without a dot on the mob. I personally haven't tried a priest on HC yet, but in normal classic shadowpriest was god mode after 40. I could fight without ever stopping my casts to wand for at least 5 minutes at a time solo because of spirit tap, and I never needed healing because I took enough disc nodes for the shield buff. Leaving shadowform also screwed him thats a 15% damage reduction that mob was never going to kill him through shield spam if he saved all his mana for just that spell.
@@TWEAKLET I hit 60 on my priest and it was mostly smooth sailing the whole way, I didn't lose a single player in any dungeon group I was in and made sure to stay on top of my gear to keep up decent mana regen and decent damage.
