    I just unscrewed a pen, (removed the pen part of it), jammed it in the hole and blew out the back end while pressing the button and it worked!!

      Haha I actually tried that first and it didn't work for me. Couldn't blow hard enough to get air all the way through. You must have a nice pair of lungs on you haha. 😀

      Well your diagnosis of the problem definitely worked. I just took a tube and put it to my mouth and the other end held it to the hole and sure enough after a few minutes of blowing with the button pressed it fixed the problem thank you very much

    Went and bought a Rowenta. It gets very hot while your using it by the handle. Couldn't use it for too long. Hated it. Came back looked up UA-cam and there you were. I did what you showed and it worked. I've had my Steamer since 2016.

It took me a couple tries with the can of air, but this solved it. Appreciate your putting this up to help us.

    Great video thanks, I had a similar problem I'd like to let your viewers know about. I had no flow for a different reason. The water intake hose in the reservoir was curled up and jammed in the top of the reservoir, so the intake opening of the intake hose was not underwater, which is a devious little problem because it has the same symptoms as the issue you described. I moved the hose to its proper place with a chopstick. I hope this helps someone, thanks for your video.

    Thank you SO MUCH for this fix! I bought this steamer about eight months ago and it was DOA. The thing would drastically heat up but not steam. By the time I wanted to return it, it was already past the return period, so it’s just been sitting here while I dread the thought of spending even more money on a replacement. Thank you for this easy fix and for helping me save some dough while I’m in austerity mode ❤

    • @MV-uh7kr
      @MV-uh7kr 4 роки тому

      Steve No Way. I'm not sure why it's still happening, The only reason I can think is because the mineral deposits are inside the device. Maybe try to flush out the device. I have always used Distilled Water from the steamer coming out of the box until now. It's also what I use in my iron and no issues with build up in my new iron.
      I used to have mineral deposits in my old iron and when I realized it was from my tap water (I live in South Florida) and our water is city water which has alot of minerals in it. No more issues ever since I've been buying Gallon Distilled Water at my local Supermarket called Publix.
      At home I even use a Berky Water Filter to filter out the excess minerals but thats only for food cooking and drinking.
      Hope that helps you.

    This works! 100%.
    These steamers aren't terribly expensive, but they're not cheap either.
    Mine is the Conair Handheld Garment Steamer for Clothes, Turbo ExtremeSteam (double slot) 1875w. I bought it back in 2022 and used it twice (distilled water only). Since then, it's been stored away so well it still looks brand new. However, when I recently found a new use for it, Oops no steam -although you could feel it trying to push the steam out (full reservoir).
    As it turns out, it probably wasn't good that I neglected to completely empty-out said reservoir before storing it.
    Anyway, I just happened to have a few cans of compressed air and so your tip worked like a champ. Great video..😎🤘🤘

    For those who don't have canned air:
    before I headed out to Walmart my husband said he would just blow the tube with his mouth... And it magically worked as well!!!
