This was 1984... but so many of those artifacts look like they're from 1954 or before. It's sad that this park wasn't kept up and was clearly in disrepair in its last days even before the fire.

The carousel that use to be at Idora Park is now in Brooklyn park near the Brooklyn bridge. Its called Janes Carousel!!!! 👍

My friends dad was the welder they blamed for this..... He said he NEVER said it was his fault and it was 100% the owner who did it for the insurance

It does sound kinda fishy welding on a water related amusement ride and not having water to put out a fire caused by a Spark..
