My god, this documentary makes these player seem like some underground urban legend. The commentary is so fitting and perfect at story-telling and everything is mad-hype. And all these dudes are probably regular working guys now, withholding a crazy legacy. Cheers for this.
Leedy, 100WON, Qudans w 9999 wins and MS Ryu. These guys are the people that made me play Tekken back then!!! Everyday I watched their matches over and over again. And I had no idea Tissuemon was part of that Japan’s Final Weapon group!
It's sad to think most of these legends re just normal regular office workers or of the sort, sitting there thinking about the past, the fucking cool legacy they paved for new tekken players. Honestly it's an amazing thought but kinda sad at the same time.
KazeReload most of these OGs retired a long time ago though, with some exceptions like qudans who came back and won the world tour but that's a huge exception
This was great, as a long time fan of the series, it really puts into perspective how great it is that tekken is where its at now, I mean, just look at the passion this community is putting into this game! Good. Ass. Tekken.
I am 200 won. Thank you for remembering me still. Sadly, I do not have an iron fist right now. When I see the video again, I am also thrilled. I think it is a good memory now.
this is a Tekken classic to watch but It was worth it to watch learning the old school player when I was growing up and learning Tekken as well during my elementary school year
If only there was a documentary for the international Tekken 3 championship where Crazy Legs from Korea destroyed everyone. And he kept saying how he was far from the best player in Korea
Imagine if they started holding tournaments for previous Tekken games in 2019-2020 again but with more attention to it's presentation and such (especially with how big Tekken is in the US).
I love this kind of stuff, amazing. I remember reading of these events back in the day on Tekken Zaibatsu, so many good memories. I wonder where all these players are today. Thank you so much for uploading MarkMan. Is there any other videos like this?
After watching this for the first time, I have tears in my eyes. The spirit of the game is way too high! Thank you Markman for uploading this beautiful blast from the past!
I would like to ask if there is a documentary for tougeki where the team of soyongdory( korean) and his 2 japanese member won the tougeki 3man team tougeki tournament, that video was deleted.
Only near the end of Tekken 7, which is just a blip if you look at the entire history of tekken. Let's see how they adapt to Tekken 8. There are already signs of lot of new blood in the Korean tekken scene coming up with the aggressive meta of Tekken 8.

So true, got so hyped!
Few of these are still active Tekken Players. (Qudans, Tissuemon and etc.)
16:46 Qudans' classic arm pop-off
mishima classic, natural combo, launches on hit

Really nice work. Thank you for this piece of Tekken history.
I didn't get into following Tekken as an esport until tag2, so I love finding old lore. Thanks a lot!
THIS is Tekken. Movement, spacing, mindgame, timing...

Jack Scott just came back from Japan, and you can definitely see dudes in ties still rocking Tekken 7 at the arcades :)
A lot of the players you see here still play at top level. Many of them won the last years world tournaments.
KazeReload most of these OGs retired a long time ago though, with some exceptions like qudans who came back and won the world tour but that's a huge exception
Dont be sad be happy that it happend
They walked so we could run
Thank you JAPAN for TEKKEN. Thank you LORD QUDANS for hyping me up and inspiring me to play DVJ. Thank you MARKMAN23 for this video. TEKKEN IS LIFE.
This is my favourite video on UA-cam, classic tekken and its competitive history is so captivating to me.
My oh my how tekken has grown. It is truly awesome.
My Qanba dragon is out for delivery right now. watching this as I sit by the window , ready to hit the delivery man with a 10 hit combo

Damn, Anna players dominating for once.
Of course because Anna and Mishimas were broken in DR 🤣
Poor Leedy. Every time he's mentioned, it's about him getting bodied.
200won is still playing tekken 7, follow him on twitch.tv/200won
Thank you
Thank you for link 😃
Wow really??!!
no he dont. All he does is play clash royale now.
I am 200 won. Thank you for remembering me still. Sadly, I do not have an iron fist right now. When I see the video again, I am also thrilled. I think it is a good memory now.
Very EXCELLENT and inspirational story
Mainstreet Ryu (1st Generation) and Quadans: The Battle of the Gods
This particular tournament gave me goosebumps when i watched it back in it's hayday. In 2020, I'm still getting them now :D
Narrator voice = Heihachi Mishima

I thought to myself "LEt's see that korean team"
Then he said
Leedy
This is amazing. Thank you. Know your history folks!

chemper Seok Dong Min is the Korean you’re thinking of. At that time jang iksu was the best in the world.
Imagine if they started holding tournaments for previous Tekken games in 2019-2020 again but with more attention to it's presentation and such (especially with how big Tekken is in the US).
Joyce Hayes Tekken 5 remastered - it’s just a graphics raise
Nice! Thanks Markman. Also thanks N0Pants! Oh man is that narrator who I think it is?
It does sound like Goji, Heihachi's original VA. I'd put my money on it.
Nice. You should also make a documentary of the legendary TT1 player Jang Iksu.
I love this kind of stuff, amazing. I remember reading of these events back in the day on Tekken Zaibatsu, so many good memories. I wonder where all these players are today. Thank you so much for uploading MarkMan.

The guy speaking at the start...is it heihachi's tekken 5 voice actor?
The narration is him, Daisuke Gori san who has passaway years ago.
Wow the classic! 👍👍
my favorite part was 18:33 the MC going "wooooooh" lol
Love the vintage intro Markman, good job!

How i wish msr will come back to tekken.
What happened to MainStreet Ryu?
I’m pretty sure he just stopped playing tekken. At the time it was still a hobby and no way to make a career out of it like now
@@elpapibigbird1691 A damn shame.
Cool!
