@@greatcolor As great as the RB26 is, it has a fundamental flaw - it's a long, tall, heavy lump of cast iron. Nissan ditched it in favour of the VQ in JGTC and for good reason. Don't get me wrong, I adore the RB and its history, but there are clear advantages to adopting a V6 layout in road cars and race machinery alike.
It's almost like the GT-R was playing with the Super Tourers for the first few laps to warm it up then just stepped on it to blow them away................Great footage, very enjoyable.

I'll never understand the abandonment of the turbo I6 by Nissan. It really didn't have to end with the RB.

The Skyline had problems in the second race and had to pull out.
