What a gorgeous furbaby! Seemed so relaxed for his spa day! I brush mine about twice a week with an undercoat rake (paws pamper), and bath her once every 6 weeks or so. She loves it =)
He's very cute and so calm and obedient, I have a spitz too, she's 7 and has similar personality, although she loves a bath she hates the dryer and attacks it. I found it easy to train her, they are very loyal dogs and intelligent. she has been such a pleasure to have and great with kids. Her favourite treats are carrots..lol, check out "funny Japanese spitz eating carrot" video with my daughter. She waits at the door for the them and even chooses carrot over meat treats.
Koda is awesome! We just adopted a 3-4 year old JS named Yuki. I am trying to learn as much as I can about taking care of her. She hasn't learned any tricks yet but maybe one day she will be as good as Koda!
He/She looks exactly like my German Spitz (Roger). Only ours is orange. I uploaded a video of him on my channel a few years ago. Gorgeous!!! Love it 👍🏻😍
how come he stays so calm while drying and brushing?? my spitz never stays calm haha she always tries to run away because she hates both noise and blow from the dryer haha XD brushing is easier, because sometimes she enjoys it :)
@@mokmok6021 you mean Indian spittz like the one In my profile picture I also have a spitz,I never blow dryed him so I don't know I he'll stay calm or get excited, I brush him after he dries ,he never stays calm after bath ,he runs everywhere, demands his towel cuz he love to roll on his towel 😅😂
@@mickable3071 yea I know there are many types of spitz dogs and mine is Indian Spitz and about the hostile thing , yea my doggo is pretty hostile towards squirrels and birds but every dog is hostile towards them ,it's natural, and overall my doggo is a loving dog and he loves us alot ,he's a fur ball filled with love 💖
I just fell in love with koda :* i too am having the same dog .. actually 2 months old puppy "Toto" ... He is still getting used to commands .. i wish i'll also do as good job as you in training him. :)
One thing that my vet taught me when my spitz was a pup is to wipe the eye area with contact lens solution! Really weird but works :) Up till now she has no tear stains!

I bath Koda twice a year. American Eskimos and Japanese spitz are both from the spitz family, Japanese spitz were most likely created from American eskimo, German spitz and other spitz breeds :)
I had a male dog named Charlie who lived for 20yrs that he was such a huge blessings to me and my kids. Although Charlie lived a happy healthy life in which it hard to see that my baby died in my arms 1 day before my birthday. 1yrs has passed by and needless to say is that in the back of my mind I honestly didn't think we would ever find another fur baby like him in which I now have an 8months old female puppy name Lola. My husband surprised me for Christmas at the time when we first got her. Although she such a joy and always want to be in the center of everything. Lola love the water that the mintune she hear the water going on the 🛁 she think I am giving her 🛁. How often do you groom yours. I just normally brush her hair every other week as not too much cause it intend to leave knots. What special comb do you suggested in me getting. I used oatmeal with aloe vera for her since her fur is very delicate.
Michelle Montoya thats good to hear you have a lovely new puppy! I bathe Koda only when he needs it, which is normally 2-3 times a year (Unless he rolls in poo, then more). The main brushes i use is a slicker brush and metal comb.
What shampoo do you use? I recently tried a new hi-white shampoo and I love how it made my dog's fur so soft and white but he ended up being mildly allergic to it. :(
I use a slicker brush for most of his body, a metal comb to get knots out close to his skin, dematting brush incase he has any small matts, flea comb for around his ears and paws (not needed, i just like to brush his paws and ears haha) and a furminator for any loose fur. Most important ones are slicker and metal comb :)
