As a long time fan of this band, I must admit that the first time I heard this song I thought it was just OK. But the track actually grew on me after I watched your reaction, especially in the chorus. Thanks for this!

Kreator debuted in 1985 with their album "Endless Pain." VERY Raw sounding album. The band was actually called "Tormentor" before having to change their name due to another band already having that name. I discovered them in 1989 after they had released their 4th album "Extreme Aggression." I was 16 at that time as well. I'm 48 now. In recent years they have released newly Remastered Deluxe versions of their pre-2000 albums, with the exception of the '99 album, "Endorama" perhaps because Covid got in the way as the last batch of remastered albums came out shortly before or after the Pandemic hit.
But for a brief history of the band, from 1985 to 1990, they were just straight up Thrash Metal, or in their case, what became known as Teutonic Metal (being from Germany and all. There was what was considered to be the Teutonic Big 4. Kreator, Destruction, Sodom, and Tankard. The first three pretty much sounded pretty similar, but Tankard's music is more along the lines of Pirate Thrash in that the majority of the themes are about drinking beer and partying.) But in 1992, when the 80s Metal scene had either changed or gone away completely, Kreator kinda changed gears a bit and became experimental a bit by adding in some progressive and industrial metal tones into their music, and it kinda put off a lot of of their fans. And because there was no Internet and no big Etailers like Amazon back then, it was darn near impossible to find their music. Same thing with a lot of 80s Metal bands that continued to put out an album here and there. You just couldn't find their stuff in the domestic music stores. Which is why a lot of bands broke up in the 90s or at least went on hiatus until Amazon and UA-cam came around where it became a lot easier to find non mainstream stuff. But Kreator did put out 3 fairly decent albums from 1992 to 1997, with the 1999 album, previously mentioned above, to be kinda mediocre. That must've see spurred something in Kreator to go back to their 80s Thrash roots and in 2001 to the present, they have released album after album in that classic 80s style Thrash with darker themes and classic Thrash riffage. They are now 6 albums deep into their rebirth. And in the Metal community it's always a pretty big deal when Kreator releases a new album. Especially now as it's been either 3 or 5 years between albums.

Slayers have more mill-like rotation technique. Kreator is on point. The band creates the overpressure of power because they play harshly to the point. Slayers have such a continuous gyro (Bone mill).

I agree about Thrash, it was what got me into metal and I love it but after a while its now something I enjoy at times and not all the time when its just pure thrash. However I love the newer core bands nowadays that mix thrash in like the recent Enterprise Earth album or some other hardcore influenced bands lol Kreator used to be my jam back in the day, this track is a good track for em for sure!

I will excuse your ignorance, but Kreator, were spawned in 1984, and they were the most extreme Thrash Metal band of that time, before the name Kreator, they released an underground album, by the name of Destructor. Better than Metallica, and Slayer, IMHO, all the early albums from 1985 to 1991 are a must! You two have to listen to Coma OF Souls, whole album, 1991, because before this album Kreator are more brutal, and extreme, and you could not cope with a more melodic thrash offering you just listened too. Show a wee bit more respect to a genre defining band from Germany! I am 56, and grew up with the evolving metal scene from the late 70’s!
