The hallway flooring really coming together. Lots is effort there! Carole, I see where you get your great work ethic from! Both of your parents are an inspiration to us older viewers. They make your garden shine. Enjoy their visit.
Thanks so much! 😊
Your mom and Alf are in such good shape to help around the grounds. That table in the beginning was beautiful. Carole your hair cut is cute.
Yes they are!
Val and Alf are too cute! I love their energy. Love the flooring in the hallway. It's a beautiful contrast with the light blue walls and dark gray radiators.
Thank you! 🤗
When I was 18, I worked in a hospital. I ran a switch board very similar to the one you saw at the thrift store. It was the only hospital in the city and every call coming in and going out of the hospital came thru my board! I also handled ALL the overhead paging! I was a very busy girl!!! I made $1.65 per hour.. It inspired me to become a nurse which I retired from a few years ago.
Val will love this ! 😊
My mother was a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. and once took a call from the White House, John F. Kennedy himself to an Oklahoma senator. She was thrilled. Back in the day they had to have perfect grammar and elocution and a "very pleasant voice". Those were the days!!
I know this sounds silly but when I look at the hallway I could cry it's so simply beautiful.
Oh Melissa thank you
Nice to see the hallway coming along. Can’t wait to see it when finished
You and me both!
The hallway is coming along nicely. Love the cobblestones by the water pump ❤❤❤
So glad to see Val and Alf visiting again. I hope they enjoyed the cherries as well as see how far the Chateau progressed.
Carole, your mom and Alf are so helpful and supportive. Everything you do ends up looking great. Enjoy your time with your family. xx
Thank you, I will
Wow, the hallway is really coming along. I love the colours. I found it a bit difficult to see the cream, but I do think it would be lovely. Floors are looking good! I really like seeing your mom and Alf. I can’t believe how hard they work. Talk about a working holiday! Thank you again for sharing your life with us!
There's no stopping them!
I love when Carols mom and Alf come to visit. Another great video. The hallway seems to be coming along nicely. See you on Wednesday. ❤️❤️❤️
Can't wait!
Can't wait to see what's new with you and yours 🎉 and what a wonderful & beautiful place you have, hat's off❣️
Thank you so much!
Who needs "Time Team" when we have Carole and Adrian to uncover the hidden past of Chateau de la Ferte!😃😃😃😃
Agreed but the question is, which one is Baldrick? 🤣
The trim is only noticeable in certain lighting, and might be more noticeable with the winter light. And in the evening when your hallway sconces are lit. Good call.
When I see you have a new video it makes my day. You make such a good team!
Hi Carole & Adrian, Great haircut Carole, I couldn't help but notice. Nice to see your folks back and helping out. They have a love as you do to pretty up the Chateau gardens for the summer, it always takes a second pair of helpers to keep things under control. Lovely to see the progress that Adrian has made on the hallway floor, and the shading with the trim paint must look a lot better in person than on video. Keep up the great work. Mark & Scott
Thank you very much Mark and Scott Cx
Oh I enjoyed that vlog. Great to see Carole’s mother and Alf in such good health. You live in a beautiful area.
Another wonderful video from you both, your Mum and Alf. 😊 Side note, love your new hair cut Carole 😀
Oh thank you!
Those cherries looked amazing, they’re my absolute favourite fruit. Hall is looking amazing too- so fresh and relaxing!
Had them for dessert tonight! Yummmyyyy
Carole, the trim color is a subtle, gentle pop for the hall so you made a great choice.
Adrian, your jokes are hilarious. The dungeon and no teeth were my favourites 😂🤣 you had me hooting with laughter!
I love Adrian's honesty, and to be honest, I can't see the difference on camera either. Having said that I absolutely love all the design choices Carole makes. We have the same taste 😅
Foreman Carole! - I literally laughed out loud at that one! 😂You all are just great!
Glad you enjoyed it
I worked at a doctor's surgery when I was younger, in the 70s, using a telephone switch board similar to the one you saw at the brocante. We had lines to the hospitals, doctor's homes as well as the surgery rooms. I use to have nightmares I left someone on hold for ages forgetting about them and they were furious when I remembered. Work stress. Such a relief when I woke up and realised it was just a dream.
Your parents are so sweet.🥰
It gives the right touch. So bright and fresh.
I love that cozy space, the table, lamp, and two individual chairs!👌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🥳😍i love that space congrats Carol, great job
Thank you!! 😊
Love the haircut Carole❤️
Thank you
Carole, I love your haircut!
Thank you
The corridor looks better and better, but I also did not notice the difference in the color of the paint, unfortunately. Mom is such an energetic old lady, but you can see that she enjoys this job. The fountain will look lovely, you can already see it. It's wonderful to see you and the progress you're making in the castle.
I used a different shade of white on my door trims and it did stand out but I kept rushing it thinking it was dirty.
After a long week of playing piano for a musical watching this video is perfect for the much needed relaxation!
Great video!! Lots of support for you both, with your friends (Matt and Dave?)… and with your generous family, always So helpful, and willing to get to work with whatever they can do. Loved the Outing to the community gardens, the cherries, lots of fun!
Everything is shaping up so nicely! Go back and buy those matching side tables, they would be impressive, & the horse lamp would look fabulous on one of them!
Ready to see the transformation……
The more cobblestones the better! wonderful work!
My suggestion would be to put a french commode chest beneath the stairs. It needs something larger in that space.
Everyone has a different project at the château. Adrian helped to get all the ripe cherries off the tree. See you Wednesday.
Absolutely beautiful job on the floors. Beautiful. Everything you do is beautiful. Great work.
Thank you so much!
Floors are looking beautifully.
Thank you 😊
I like the blue chair, the floors look great and the stones in the garden look very nice! 😊
Thanks so much! 😊
I like the cream. It definatley warms it up. Great choice
I love the Chair in that grey/blue colour, its gorgeous ❤😊
You guys are officially my favourite UA-cam channel!
Thank you 😊
Hi Adrian, I absolutely agree with you, about the trim colour not making any difference !
Is it worth the effort Carole? I honestly think gold or a darker colour would look amazing, as everything else looks very light, the blue walls look white !
I must say Carole, loving the painted chair in blue! 😊
Wow What and amazing hard working pair Alf and Caroles mum are. The cobbles look fab raised up
Thanks so much
So funny climbing the tree. Here in the southern USA. We say" hay y'all watch this" before we do adventurous things. 😂😂😂
😂😂😂
I can’t see any difference in the trim colour. Everything is coming together beautifully.
I like the idea of wiping off the undercoat to give a really nice effect.,,,,just an idea.
YES, the cream does warm the door and frame. It makes it cohesive. Great idea. I think the left side was on the right, right??
I am currently working on another cobble rock patio. I have learned that if you use sand to set the cobble in the ground they Stay in place. I have to redo a sunken cobbled area. This time I will use Sand. Oh my back. LOL
I can see the trim color and I like it!!
I agree with you, Adrian!

It would be great to have some espalier trees against that back wall!
Believe it or not I worked in a hospital that had a switch board much like that one! I know because I worked it! That was in 1979. Hospitals in the US were notorious for being behind the times!
Carol you would be better off to redo those cobles and not put dirt in-between them--this will only get you more grass/weeds to pull up later. Put sand or even a sand cement mix in between and this will prevent grass and weeds. Bonus if you put them on top of sand it is easier to get a flat surface. 😁
Garden is looking beautiful! Not perfect, but with so much potential. Love it! I am totally jealous, but I am too old to be taking on a project like yours.
whoop whoop , look how's that floor looking :D very noice 👍
Thanks! 😁
Erm, could the fact Adrian had sunglasses on be the reason he couldn’t see the cream trim? 😊
They are actually my reading glasses but have reactors built in!
Ahhhhh :)
I still think they would have stopped you seeing the cream 😁
Having said that, I couldn’t see it either 😂
Love color one the chairs..
Your haircut looks stunning 🤩💖
Thank you so much 😀
goldleafing the chairs?
Corridor looks great in this bright color - but I feel the contrast between the white and light blue is too little. It probably should be slightly more contrast so that one needs not look twice if it's the same color or different colors.
You probably don't want to hear this, but wouldn't the radiators in the hallway disappear more if painted the same color as the wall or molding? Have you already said that?
I don't want to hide them and we love the colour they are
I think you should move the pool (or get one that fits) into that square reseeded area by the fountain 😇. When there are no strawberries, cherries will do nicely 🍒
The light bleu is superbe
I like the cream color on the doors..
Alf resembles Ray Walston (My Favorite Martian)
Thanks for the video!
You're welcome!
Love the cobble stones. Well worth it.
I think so too!
Get a good light on the wood doors. I am not spotting the paint difference.
it is a bit like an venetian chandelier 💎💎
I’m with Adrian, on camera it just looks the same colour. Sorry Carol. 😏chair colour looks great. Just a thought how about the beautiful blue colour on the walls as a contrast on the doors. 😉
Кэрол, вы такая умница и такая трудолюбивая, у вас золотые руки, желаю Вам успехов в вашем созидательном труде. Я с Вами 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Your Mum and Alf are gorgeous, can I borrow them? B W from Australia x
There not cheap 😂
Think the trim should be blue like the walls! Don’t think the contrast now will be noticeable. (But I am not seeing it in person.)
I want it to be subtle bare with me
@ Since the trim line is so small it would tie the white of the doors with the walls. But again, I am not there seeing it in person and whatever you decide will be perfect. You have impeccable taste! 🤗👍
Привет всем Через 3 часа премьера Зайду на канал
Carol are the doors white with a cream molding? I think I could see that and the think it’s the right choice but realize it looks different in person I believe you should go with your first instinct ❤ looks great such a beautiful bright hallway coming right along well done 🤗🤗🤗
You are correct
What trim? I love that!
😂
What vitamins do you guys take?💊
Caffeine and more caffeine! 😂
❤❤
What happened with the chair you were painting blue . The colour of blue was lovely. Curious what did you decide?
Thst was the undercoat, I'll be picking up the top coat in a couple of weeks
@ : Thanks I guess it was a little hard to see on your camera mine as well . But whichever colour you pick I’m sure it’s going to be pretty. Can’t wait .
Carole and Adrian is a great example of determination!!! I do enjoy everything you guys do and you have my congrats in each phase of everything!!!♥️🙏
Thanks so much!!
@Always welcome!
I love the pop of color those chairs will add! The camera doesn't do justice on the subtle difference of the trim. I love seeing Val & Alf! They are so sweet and hardworking 💗
I totally agree!
Carol, your mother is beautiful! I see where you get your drive… lol.. bless her! Thanks for continuing to share your journey with us. I look forward to your videos!!🇺🇸❤️
Thank you so much!
Now I know where Carole gets all her energy! From her parents!
At first I couldn't tell the difference with the trim on camera, then you changed position and wow, it looks great! The long shot of the hallway looked amazing! Your work and eye for detail is brilliant!
Yes! The difference shows up on camera. It's almost like raised lettering with a bit of a shadowed lining ...makes the letters pop off the page or printed material. Carole's attention to detail is epic!
Jesus. I always love the brocante footage. I'm so glad you film and share all that. Edit: That lavoir and well area has been one of the most fascinating parts of the whole chateau, for me. I can't wait to see more of that.
Glad you enjoyed it
Nice to see some sweet helpers , enjoying the outdoors 😊
I love the family time - it’s very special to share with all of us - it really means that you’re family values are deeply rooted.
So fortunate to still have her parents with her!
Привет, Каролина и Адриан Чудесный эфир, магазинчик с винтейдж (vintage) .очень красивая посуда, antiques Всегда интересные выпуски you are great
You guys are such a wonderful family. You can tell how close you are by the way you get on. Family nothing like it.
Yes we are
So nice to see Val & Alf 🩵
Carole, your haircut is gorgeous! Yours too Adrian.
Brilliant, thank you Sharon
I liked the color of the chairs as much as we could see. I love the community garden and your Mom and Alf are fun to see again! ❤
Thank you so much!
Carole you are so lucky still having your mum and Alf in your lives. They are always ready to help,as were my parents and being part of a close knit loving family is a very precious thing. I feel so sad for people who don’t have that. The cobbles and weed free Lavoire area looks fabulous as does Adrian’s handiwork on the hallway flooring. I’m so eager to see the newly painted chair, I love that style of chair.🥰💐
The floor looks wonderful Adrian and Carole, nice to see your mum and dad back and start into their own job's .I love a cherry pie yummy homemade I can taste it now 🤤, take care and see you next time 💕🌼🤗
Oh Carole..."Queen of Gold" if you don't like the color you've painted the chairs try dry brushing some gold or antique gold or gold leaf. Beautiful chairs, don't give up on them😉.
Carol is one of the rare women who does the work.
You are a good man, Adrian. I know you have GOT to be tired of floors. I definitely like the cream trim. Those chairs are awesome... Please don't ever let them go. Well, I may not have a Chateau, but here in San Diego, we do have better beaches, lol. I'm getting to be obsessed with your channel. I'm so happy when I see your videos pop up😂❤😅
Every Wednesday and Sunday! 😊
Of course he can’t see a difference in the trim colour because he’s wearing dark glasses!
They are actually my reading glasses. They have built in reactors
