    Very helpful thanks!
    Looking forward to the takeoff tut, and hopefully an in-flight cruise followup if possible because in the sim this heli flies so different from others. Love it so far though.

      Nice to know Christian!
      Yeah, taxi and before takeoff tutorial are recorded. I’ll proceed with Normal takeoff and landing, CAT A ops, FMS and AP tutorial and move forward with all.
      This bird is really different from the other helicopters actually present in the SIM.
      But the actual generation of helicopters like AW109SP, AW169, H145 and etc are build with complex technology that make than a little complex to understand but easy to fly and manage.

      @@Borbaaa In a good way, I meant though. For example a few flights ago trying to learn, in a leap of faith I simply let go the cyclic presuming it would dive.... But it leveled out! It was quite the shock. 🤪 Now a little more used to it, it's incredible to fly!

      @@EndlessGraphics the SP has a good stability when in ATT mode, that is our usual mode when flying using the hands. You get used after a few hours of flight. Usually flying without the need to land in the next 5min we use the AP, just leaving it to ATT minutes before land. So this bird is basically AP all the flights.

      Excellent video with lots of valuable information. I am looking forward to the whole series so I can fly it properly getting the most out of all the automated systems. Thank you for taking the time to make them in English. They are easy to understand despite you having to speak in a second language.

    thanks ……well done.
    One thing I’m interested to know your thoughts on it. When starting engines …….i know checklist says first eng started to flight, then next to ground idle…..then do AP test. Not only is this noisey environmentally but worries me doing AP test with engine at flight (if AP misbehaves you could roll if any collective is added). I prefer starting both to idle, then do AP test and other EFIS functions. then move both up to flight. I have also noticed that sometimes by having one engine in flight and the other in idle and you miss some checklist items you can forget that one is in idle and lift collective……the SP audio reminds you of this embarrassment. In the older E and S versions it didn’t and you could easily lift to OEI hover (possible over torque)……luckily not with SP. my thoughts only and based on what one Agusta instructor told me at Vergiate when I did SP course many, many years ago.
    Bye

      Hello Mike!
      Yeah, there are some thoughts about the test procedures like this with AP and also the HYD test too. Both with engines in flight. Some pilots concerned about that and we opened a discussion and mostly everyone agree that this should be done, if done, with hands on the controls. I don’t know, usually we do this tests once a week. AP mostly doesn’t work because we always have problems with tail actuators, a SP problem as usual.
      Next recurrency I’ll talk with instructor to see what they say nowadays.

    • @miket3445
      @miket3445 8 місяців тому +1

      Ok interesting……I found that if you touch the controls, even lightly, during AP test it can upset the test, so I don’t. All the SP drivers I know here (4 others) all of them go to ground idle on both engines on start and do AP and Hyd tests in that state. I did the S and SP factory course and my instructors didn’t care if I went to the idle or flight…..so there is a discrepancy that I haven’t been able to properly resolve whether it’s detrimental or not????
      Cheers for now

      @@miket3445 yeah, that is something that I think engineers think differently from pilot. We are in the controls and know some stuffs that usually they don’t prevent when developing the helicopter, like the AP Disc button in the cyclic disconnect both pilots. That could be a big problem flying IMC and have it both AP OFF. AW169 if I record correctly have a fix that it disconnect 1 AP and to disconnect the other you should press again the button.
      I never tried the AP test at idle, my IP in Sesto said that it don’t work, but I’ll try next flight. 🤝🏼 Much better than at Flight.

    • @miket3445
      @miket3445 8 місяців тому +1

      Yeah I do the test at ground idle only without any difference. As long as there hydraulic pressure the series actuators can be tested.
      Cheers

    Bought this aircraft yesterday. Lots of bells and wistles but many issues with it. The nav displays are a lot to be disired and the menu options seem well behind the times. Also, this is the only aircraft, among many others, that causes a Vulcan crash in X Plane 12. If I could have gotten my money back, I would have definately done so, unfortunately I'm stuck with this one. Hopefully they make the many needed improvements to this.

    GND COM position is implemented but needs battery on. Do we need to change this?

    • @Borbaaa
      @Borbaaa  8 місяців тому

      Yes, if you switch to GND COM it turns on some systems as described in the training manual:
      On the ground, when the MSTR AVNX switch is set to GND COM position,
      the electrical power is supplied only to the GROUND BUS, therefore only the
      following equipment are supplied: AMU PRIM, VHF 2 PWR, GPS, RBP PLT, RTU PRIM, EADI PLT.

    • @Borbaaa
      @Borbaaa  8 місяців тому

      This is useful to save battery if you need to get clearance for you FPL and will need to wait some time in the comms.
