Stuff like button prompts, crosshairs, captions, tutorial pop-ups etc. 2. If so, would it be possible to share such mods with other people and show how to use them? I'm asking cuz it'd be very cool to mod some PS4 games to make them more cinematic. I could make some pretty cool videos with that.
Shadow Knight yea it was, you clearly don’t know the reasoning behind it. They wanted a face that had a better match with the voice actor, yuri lowenthal. So they just recast the face. It would allow for a more user REALISTIC and fluid performance in - game. So don’t be such a butt, you’ll get used to it.
Parvis It is strange to replace the face after having a game out already, however you are factually incorrect. Yuri Lowenthal did the facial capture for the character. But they used John Bubniak as a model for the visual representation. Most people will agree that from time to time, Peter Parker’s model looked a little emotionless in the cutscenes. They replaced the model for match better with the facial capture that Yuri did to optimize the possibilities of the character and to take advantage of the capabilities of the PS5. John Bubniak’s face as a model would not translate as well as Ben Jordens face. Of course it will be a little off putting at first but everybody will get used to it, I have no doubt about that.
Parvis I think if the change was inevitable, I’d rather have it happen now (early on) rather than later when later when the character is even more fleshed out. And chances are, this new Peter is going to be in the miles morales game as well, so they wanted to remake this game so that people can get more used to the new face. I have a feeling that there were definitely more reasons for why John Bubniak is no longer in the game, but that’s just speculation 🤷♂️

I agree and disagree. I loved how little they used unmasked Peter in this game, as it was, in a way, simbolism. We don't get a clear look at Peter's face as he puts on the mask in the beginning, and through out the game, Peter and Spidey's life are completely separated, and it's only when Peter realizes that his boss/friend is completely gone off the rails and needs to stop, when his path as Peter and Spider-Man finally merge, which is when we first get a good look at Peter's face while wearing the suit. I loved the subtlety in it and the writers and devs clearly knew what they were doing. My favorite Spider-Man game of all time. While the second-most praised Spider-Man game being Spider-Man 2, it's story is lacking in originality due to being a movie adapted game, with several comic villains thrown into the mix. This game took most of the origins and based concepts of characters and truly forged an original story with the old lore. Not giving hate to Spider-Man 2, btw, just pointing out its restrictions. Still love it as well as the other Movie games.
Claire Redfield from RE2R is a perfect example of a face that doesn’t fit well with the voice actress’s facial capture. I didn’t think Spider-Man was bad though. I only hope they add some age to peters new face.
I always thought it would be cool to have a game where you could consistently change between the hero & who’s behind the mask… they nailed it in a side mission of spiderman ps4 for one of the DLC’s… wish the whole game you could just do that though & not just for that mission. Spiderman isn’t just spiderman he’s also Peter :/ wish they’d make a mechanic like this permanently to make the player feel exactly like the character
He is so strong that he can keep his face still while getting kicked by a person heavier than a Rhino, getting electrocuted, getting stabbed, getting punched multiple times and getting thrown off a building.
it’s a mod so it makes sense on why the mouth doesn’t move. if it was a glitch or anything else, you’ll be able to tell there’s a model underneath the mask.
The face needs some work but I honestly love it because when I play the game sometimes I forget it’s a man under the suit and this sort of adds a sense of realism to it.
