    Thanks for the incentive!! I went out yesterday and picked up the materials and made my first one last night. Today, I made two more from the 2 foot CPVC I bought. I got some 3/4" CPVC, too and will attempt a larger one this weekend. The super glue trick that Charlie uses made a big difference in the tone and made them all play a lot better. Might be some great gifts for the Grandkids. Fun for me and annoy the parents. LOL!!!

      Yay! I love it when my vids inspire someone else to create. Thanks so much for sharing that feedback. I think these whistles would make excellent gifts.

    That's a fun little project. You do seem to have a lot of PVC pipes floating around. Good use for it

      LOL. I never did until I owned a house. Now I have it on hand all the time. So many home improvement projects involve PVC. Thanks for checking it out. fun little DIY flute.

    Looks like a fun project. I'll have to again suggest investing in an oscillating multi-tool. It will save you time and sweat in your hot work area. I know what a chore it is sawing by hand, especially in a hot garage.

      I love those oscillating multi-tools. I definitely have one on my wishlist. They're so useful. Thanks for checking out the vid.

    It would have been nice if you had included the drill size in your video. I went to Blue Bear Flutes and found it.

      Thanks for checking out the video. The holes are all 3/16". It's on the diagram shown in the vid around 2:11 and I also referenced the bit size around 2:40 when drilling the holes.

    That was so awesome. And it actually had a nice little tone. What key is it? I wish i had perfect pitch and could tell you by listening but alas i dont.
    Love that you have everything set up and organized already! You do remind me so much of my dad. And that is a compliment because he was so organized he even did quicken at 93 almost 94 and I remember hebwas so frustrated because before he went into the hospital (for the last time 😢) he couldn’t get something balanced. Poor guy was working on all this stuff with his CO higher than his H20.
    And he was a master woodworker!!
    Love the flute!

      Oh jeez. I guess I should've said that in the video. It's supposed to be in the key of high Am. I put mine on the tuner and it's ever so slightly sharp but honestly... pretty close. I wish I could've met your dad. He sounds like such a cool guy.

      @@musicalmiscellany you would have loved him. I felt like it was Am so I think that means it was close enough lol!

    I hate imperial measurements with uttermost hatred, ima find a metric video

    • @musicalmiscellany
      @musicalmiscellany  Рік тому

      You can just use use a site like this and convert the measurements. www.inchcalculator.com/convert/inch-to-millimeter/
      I've had to do that in reverse when I've found videos that were in metric. It's a heckuva lot easier than finding a video that tells you the same thing but made by someone in a different nation.
