I’m from Elsipogtog First Nation in New Brunswick, I’m Mi’kmaq. I know a lot of people from Tobique. Thank you for covering this case because I’m gonna try to see if we can find her remains. I heard Reid Perley murdered her and his family knows about it but they all keep quiet to keep him out of prison. Everyone is a scared of him but I’m not lol I’m gonna see if we can find her remains or a lead or SOMETHING. I feel bad for her family. Thanks for covering her case Savannah ♥️
Even if the boyfriend wasn't as serious about Cathy as she was him, no person with any decency would leave someone with someone neither of them knew & so far away.
Unfortunately this kind of response from law enforcement was very common back in those days, especially in rural areas of the country where they hadn’t had these types of cases before. The moment you said that they were staying on the Canadian 1st Nations reservation, where Reed lived & was a member of, my heart sank. The amount of missing & murder indigenous women (MMIW) cases that have occurred in/around both the US & Canadian native reservations alone, makes it understandable why no one who lived on the reservation would say anything. Between the fear of repercussions & the “normalcy” of seeing women treated like such, and nothing ever being done about it when reported, it makes sense why they wouldn’t say anything about it.
Hey savannah welcome back with another chilling episode of killer instinct !!😊❤🖤. Damn i feel bad for her family...the pain of a child leaving and not coming back is absolutely devastating, i hope the case gets solved but honestly i feel for the worst...its been soooo many years unfortunately and the thought of possible foulplay definitely ran through my head.🙏
I knew someone who met her husband when she was 16 and he was 22 apparently her parents didn't mind I was like how can you be ok with an 22 year old adult man dating your underage daughter?? Insane! Great episode Savannah
This screams trafficking case to me. And as a girl who was born and raised and lives in Maine, that is something that is so prominent here and touches so many of us girls here.
Maine is a beast of its own when it comes to the legal/justice system. Being born and raised in Maine it is the oddest feeling I can only describe as you can’t wait to leave only to find yourself missing it when you do. We are the weirdest mixing pot of all sorts of people that goes unnoticed by the rest of the country. Growing chaos.
If you do another maine case please reach out to a mainer to get things a little more on point, especially calling PI an island.... i would love to talk to you about more unsloved cases in maine that would be great to cover! There are a few i can think of off the top of my head that are 20+ years unsolved
The police completely failed this girl & her family. I think since she was so crazy about Lester that her getting in the car with him probably wasn’t even questioned by her she trusted him. Young & naïve. He never should’ve left her with Reed if that’s truly what happened. So sad.
1921?????? I love your videos but you make mistakes regarding dates all the time. Please be more careful. Your voice is incredibly beautiful and I love the way you tell stories
Sadly, after such a long time I don't think Cathy's family will get any answers to this case. I don't believe for a second that the 'boyfriend' left Cathy with Reid. I think that was just him trying to cover his own ass. Even if he wasn't as serious about Cathy as she was him, no person with any decency would leave someone with someone neither of them knew and so far away.
I know police deal with a lot of "false" cases, like spending time and resources looking for a teen who actually just was late and forgot to call and I'm sympathetic to that no doubt but Jesus, what will it take for them to BELIEVE parents? I was a pretty responsible teen and even now as an adult, I tell my parents- if I don't return your calls or messages, if I don't show up when I said 100% I'd be there, the ONLY reason is because I physically can't.
The main thing is that the police failed miserably. If they had pulled their finger out this wouldn't be such a mystery. They would have interrogated the boyfriend and the Reed guy properly and the family would have answers!
Was the field where they sat and drank at searched? The FB writer said it was marked where the body was buried. Idk if Lester planned on any if this. He didnt know Reed, and when he found out she never returned home he drove to Reeds and they beat him up allegedly. But then again, why would u leave your gf with a complete stranger!?!
The police systems failed that girl and her family. If I was her family I would have went after the police station and sued or got someone fired for not helping. Also Lester should hve known better to leave his girlfriend with a stranger. Yes he probably was scared of getting arrested but he couldn’t hve drove close to home where she could’ve walked or gave her money (if he had any) to get a bus. And lastly, Reid did something to her I can bet on it. And all those ppl that saw her and didn’t do anything it’s really sad. I feel for her family.
I love listening to your videos because your voice is quite calming... but the name/pronoun/date mistakes are SO distracting 😓 please correct these before posting. Not for me, but for the victims.
Read sorry for the first time and convinced Lester to leave Cathy with him and Lester agreed but maybe he didn't know what he was going to do or maybe he did and didn't care I believe that Reed and Lester play this as they drove to New Brunswick but I feel like he was reeds idea
As a Mainer, you really butchered a lot of the town names. Please do a little more research next time. Also seemed like you confused the dates, originally you said 1921 and you kept referring to Cathy as Carly. A bit disrespectful to not even get the victim’s name right.
It's disrespectful AF to the victim and the victim's family. She could have AT LEAST wrote a correction on the screen OR put her mistake in a pinned comment apologizing. These families already have to at least know that other ppl are talking about their loved one, sometimes getting things incorrectly...but then if they listen to the story and hear the creator getting the victim's name wrong..its infuriating...and especially if it is done more than once. I'm about tired of savannah. She is not engaging with her audience and by the way her ads are...she's TOO money hungry.

Young people make stupid decisions.
@@GabakrdsD3 ..... that was a life changing decision ..... if he had any decency he wouldn't have left her
Finally someone does an unsolved video! I like them so much better than solved! They need more light to help get them solved!
So glad a new case haven't heard one in awhile from a lot of other channels so loved this case. TY. Sav n ur back round is everything.
Unsolved cases are so interesting even though they are frustrating this was a wild one😵

Yayyyyy my favorite time of the week ❤❤ love all the hard work you put in these video's for us!!
The police frustrate me. Thank goodness her parents took matters into her own hands. Families shouldn't have to do their own investigations.
Ohh Maine native here, will definitely be watching now and thank you
As frustrating it is for the public not to know what happened in unsolved cases like this - it would be much worse for the family!!
As a Mainer we thank you for covering this case 👏🏻

Happy Wednesday, Savannah. Your look & voice always get’s me 😍.

I heard that too but she meant to say 1971 pretty sure

It's Ban-gore Maine, not Banger.
Presque isle is a town in northern Maine on your way to Canada. It is not an island. 😂
Carly??? I thought her name is Kathy!😅
It's cathy
I hope they find out what happened to her. Reed or the boyfriend made her disappear...
A private investigator should become involved.
Wtf delete that whole police force for treating her disappearance as a joke
1921?????? I love your videos but you make mistakes regarding dates all the time. Please be more careful. Your voice is incredibly beautiful and I love the way you tell stories
It's sloppy and disrespectful. She's making money from these videos, least she could do is provide accurate information.
So do a podcast yourself !!

Lester sold Cathy to Reed.
Killer instinct Wednesday!! 🩵
so interesting being from maine..
The main thing is that the police failed miserably. If they had pulled their finger out this wouldn't be such a mystery. They would have interrogated the boyfriend and the Reed guy properly and the family would have answers!
Lester trafikked her. Sold her yo Reed likely. Poor baby.
1921 ? The photo of her looks much more modern
she was last seen in 1971! she prolly just messed up the numbers

What ever happened to reed
Correct pronunciations
Bang-Gore not banger
Presque-Isle not island

You keep calling her carly. Is it Cathy or Carly?!
her last video was ab carly, she probably was just getting the 2 confused.

Cathy is the girl that went missing and Carly is the mother. She didn’t mix up the names
