- This year, one of our key messages has been sustainability and eco-awareness, with the new Green Star Award standing as just one new platform aimed at striking up more conversations about a topic that has long been ignored in Egypt. Bridging sustainability with the film world, our NOT THE END initiative in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture has arrived as a unique way to shine a spotlight on the issue, with the launch taking place as part of our series of Sunset Networking Events. Just as much a challenge as an initiative, NOT THE END invited 10 top designers and architects to take waste materials from old film sets to create one-of-a-kind masterpieces that will be displayed in an utterly unique exhibition. Beyond the creative aspect of NOT THE END and the anticipation of seeing the final results, the project proves that even the film industry has a role in paving away for a more eco-aware and environmentally-friendly planet.
