He didn't though. Those lings weren't supposed to get in. He wanted to catch the lings with the roaches, but serral moved them too well. If it was intentional, more than 1 ling would have reached scouting range.
He tried something different every game and sent out multiple false signals to try to trick Serral every game. How is that not adapting? The reason his tricks didn't work is because Serral is so consistently good about scouting, and so flawless in his execution, that the only way to win is to rise to that level. Lambo did everything he could and played amazingly well given the huge skill gap. Serral isn't just a little bit better. He's insanely better than Lambo. Yet Lambo still managed to make it a very intense series.
Lambo wasnt to kind when speaking about serral before this match. He kind of asked for it. (lambo-vs-showtime match interview @ end if curious). That said...Lambo did very good feints. Not many players can think of doing that yet alone actually implement it. He needs to be a tad more humble and less flappy.
