      I am Florida man and I fear no gator or shark. Don't be dumb around them and you won't get bitten. There's a guy on UA-cam who shoots huge cobia (a fish) with spear guns from around bull sharks. No tanks, just free diving. The cobia follow the sharks so that's where he shoots the fish, within feet of big sharks. No problem. He can see the sharks, and they see him. Don't get in murky water, don't surf during times when lots of bait is around, like the mullet run. Hands and feet get bitten by mistake, like a reaction bite from a fish on a lure. Stay in clear water, don't swim with dead fish tied to you, don't get in bait schools.
      With gators you want to avoid getting down low near the water, like don't bend over to grab a fish when you catch one around water lizards. Do NOT walk a dog near water with gators. Be very careful with kids too. Adults standing up around the water are fairly safe, we look very tall to an animal in the water. Oh, and don't swim with alligators either.
      Use your brain, you don't need to fear the critters. Just understand them.

      @@HugeInsect Sight is the most important thing for you, because sight is your most developed sense and your brain is used to operate on sight foremost. A shark has different senses, and a different brain. It's tricky to figure out what it would feel like to be a shark in the ocean. But given what we know about their sensory organs I'd agree with the post that the shark will pick up the submarine and the second camera outside with its electric senses. I also think that the red light gets dispersed on edges and through surfaces, and the shark's eyes will pick up something glowing in the dark. I also think saying out loud "I don't make a sound" makes a sound.

    Can't the sharks pick up the electronic signals from the cameras and equipment? I thought they didn't necessarily need light to see.

      yeah, this specific shark has really poor eyesight but still has very good electroreception.. curious to know how a submarine affects their ability to use that sense

    • @andrewpolasek5524
      @andrewpolasek5524 2 роки тому

      They likely do pick up those signals but they do not register as "normal" to the shark which exercises caution in its approach.

      At that depth the shark is used to operate completely in the dark, orienting itself with electrical and flow sensor organs instead. I'd guess it will have a pretty good mental "picture" of the sub and the other equipment.
