Cop 26 Düsseldorf Symphony Orchestra, Orchester des Wandels, Beethoven Pastorale

Beethoven composed his 6th Symphony "Pastorale" in 1808 describing an intact and idyllic natural world. Two centuries of industrialization have produced the environmental crisis we are facing. The present age has produced the scientists who continue to warn us of the gravity of this crisis. The world community needs to act now to limit global temperature rise to 1.5 degrees celsius as set out in the Paris agreement of 2015.
We look hopefully to Cop 26 to allow human kind to rise up and save itself and ensure that the idyllic nature of Beethoven's Pastorale survives.
