Very unique circumstances there, when ABS is active it electronically proportions brake pressure front/rear and side/side. The ESC program may be integral to the ESC program.
The Problem is that it is not allowed for the ESC in Europe to be able to fully go off. 10% must stay on by law in Europe. And the engineers probably didn't make a 2nd ESC Software for the rest of the world... The Problem doesn't come from Toyota. The Problem is the European Law...
Same issue with Holden. VE SV6 ute at an undisclosed location heading into a large dual lane roundabout at about 90-100. The stability control almost killed us. *No one else was around at the time.
At this point the vid was made it was a 305 on an 18x10. Its not ideal as you want rhe rubber to sit flst, but it works. We've gone back to 295 on a 10.5 for our serious track setup.
The first time i did a little drift in my FRS with sport mode on i almost rear ended a parked semi. Started the drift then started to counter steer then the stability control kicked in... I always shut it off now
Hopefully. You can see at the start of the video it was happily doing 3rd gear drifts, under same conditions, but for some reason on the other corner the TRC and ESC didn't like it and nearly every time would pull the wheel violently out of my hand.
It's fractionally slower than the i30n, but the supra is only mildly modified. Much faster platform to start with, but less forgiving. The i30 is easier to get great lap times. The supra is at times a handful.. But when you get it right, it's very rewarding.. As much as my videos make it seem like it's a pain of a car, I am being critical cos I paid a lot of money for this car and I want it to be at the pointy end of the field.. It's not far off, but stuff like this ESC is a real let down from an otherwise incredible platform.
I'd be surprised if you can't totally disable traction control/other nannies through coding somehow, you can in every other BMW/BMW based car 🤔 Edit: also there can be some super wacky limp modes, one that's in other models is "brake fade temp compensation" that limp modes the car if its math calculates you're overheating your brakes. Crippling.
It's strange, cos the ESC light didnt even flash up to say it was intervening. Until I watched the video later and noticed the BZZZ sound of the ABS, I thought I must have just hit some oil. If there is a different way of disabling the ESC/TRC then it's not documented anywhere I have seen so far. As for the limp mode, it would be handy if the big computer displays the car has in it told you WTF it was doing, rather than randomly leaving you guessing :'(
@@StreetFXofficial you can code it with e-sys/ISTA+ etc, same as g-series/the equivalent z4. It's not as easy as older models as it's still in German and stuff, nor is there the super easy one-touch apps like bimmercode yet, but with enough google translate you'd more than likely be able to get to it lol For older stuff, if you want to track it, there are like 6 acting options you have to permanently disable. 2 inaginary brake related limp modes (disc overheat/fade compensate), Electronic diff that randomly brakes wheels when it loses traction similar to this.. 3 different brake assists that leads to inconsistent feel etc. I'd put all my money on the a90 having similar garbage that needs to be turned off Your event seems way scarier/worse than any I've seen before, definitely need to get it sorted that's a pretty major safety issue!

I've seen some other posts where people mentioned if tire pressure is low and it feels slippage the VSC comes back on.

This stupid thing randomly kicks back in even when it's turned off.. that's the annoying part :/
