I am Malaysian and one of the most critical of Singapore you may have But everytime I hear Majulah Singapura I will sing along. I even sang along when Schooling won the gold. I cant think of the Singapore National Anthem in any other language but the beautiful and melodius Malay. Hope you SIngaporeans treasure your National Language and return to your roots. Majulah Singapura.
@BlackBannerz i dont recall making this comment, but yes i understand that a large proportion of the inhabitants of singapore were malay (or more specifically made up of the orang lauts), and i made a silly comment 4 years ago because i probably misinterpreted what the original commenter was saying. however to rebut your point; 1. before malaysia there was raffles, and before raffles there were the chinese settlers who gave the country the name Nanyang, so it is not entirely true to say that singapore was a malay island since migrants from all over the world settled in singapore and have contributed to the development of modern-day singapore in their own ways 2) singapore has a multicultural and multifaceted society, and while i am not disregarding our malay roots, singapore chooses not to label itself as a "chinese" or "malay" country, and instead its people have their own identity as singaporeans this comment was not made with any ill intent, but i just wanted to clear the air 🙃 thank you

It doesnt matter whether its Majulah Singapura, Negaraku or Indonesia Raya. That the Malay Language is melodious and lends itself beautifully in national anthems of the 3 countries.
My friend is a specialist in the SAF and he said that everytime he hears the National Anthem being sung it'll bring back memories of him being the escort for the flag of 42SAR (42nd Battalion, Singapore Armoured Regiment). This was the best version other than the NDP version he's ever heard. Good job

This is the best arrangement of our national anthem. wish we could have this as an official version in all schools at assembly - perhaps the children and teens may be more inclined to sing along. Nathania did a lovely job!
