Blackwater was my first Suntup purchase. I wasn't familiar with the novels, but the artwork sold me on trying something new. Very nice. I can only afford the AEs but I did shell out for the #d Animal Farm. I shelve the Suntups in the same order as you. I like the spine out for Blackwater. It looks mysterious.
That’s awesome! I hope you love Animal Farm when you get it! The AEs are all so nice. I like the dust jackets and slipcases. I buy some of the AEs, but not all.
The price of numbered editions made me hesitant to get on the train, but there were just so many titles that I wanted. Finally, I decided to get on and start acquiring them.
@@jasongeis679 I’m the same way…Suntup takes a backseat to my love for Centipede, so the only Suntups I have are AEs. That said, if I was ever to upgrade to a Numbered, it’d be for BLACKWATER…one of my favorites books, and Paul did a particularly beautiful job on this one.
When the Suntup numbered editions push 6,7and 9 hundred dollars, I hate spending another 20-30 dollars on priority. The state of the USPS nowadays doesn’t give me much confidence that I would receive the books all that much faster than standard media mail. Usually when I receive a shipping notification, I know the book is 6-7 days from my doorstep and I’m in New York.
I’m in Florida and standard shipping usually take a week to ten days from California. I’m the same way when it comes to shipping costs. An extra $10 to $15 to get the books 4 or 5 days earlier sounds good until I’m about to make the purchase, then I cheapen out every time.
@@itsterrific my daughter sent a birthday gift to her friend in college at indiana state. We sent it priority mail on a Thursday morning. Supposed to arrive at destination by Saturday. Her friend didn’t receive the package for another 2 weeks because of sone mail dispute in the delivery zone. Try and get refunded the extra money spent on priority?? Yeah, right. Good luck getting a postal supervisor to pick up a phone. I know if I chose priority for my Suntup books it would probably still take 5 days to deliver. I’ll save the $15-$20 and wait another 2-3 days. No biggie.

This one really does make me wish I could justify the numbered edition. Absolutely beautiful. Hopefully my AE is nice enough to keep me satisfied.

If I went for the numbered Suntup’s, I’d have to forgo too many other books/publishers and I’m a Centipede guy first and foremost.
Nice! Centipede’s really cool. I’ve gotten a few, but I’ve missed out on the Centipede’s that I’ve most wanted.

That’s what I do. I choose the cheapest shipping option, but many folks online get their books 3 to 5 days before me. It always makes me jealous.😁
