      The actor behind Hiccup is Jay Baruchel, he's been in quite a few movies as of late and he's probably one of my favorite actors simply because he does the socially awkward/geeky role so well... I think he would have been great in the Toby Maguire Spiderman movies just due to how much more believable he is as a nerd.
      Completely off topic and super late, but I've just enjoyed him in pretty much every movie I've seen him in so far.

    This isn't supposed to be a show off. It's TRAINING. Everyone who wants to play a good voker needs to do this to develop muscle memory so that you don't need to think about spells when you need them in real game. It just happens. You have to bring the time of 5 keystrokes down to 1 basically.

    Invoker is the only Hero that uses APM, everything else is plainly hand and eyes coordination.

    • @mvpmikey
      @mvpmikey 10 років тому +10

      Team John Nope, I play meepo and it doesn't need APM. It has the same play style as every other heroes.

    • @mvpmikey
      @mvpmikey 10 років тому +10

      Team John That's not APM, you only last hit in the main meepo while the rest auto attack on jungle.
      ...no professional players separate all 4 meepo. Its one on main with dagger while the rest is grouped up on a safe location.
      I can post you all meepo videos and none separates 4 meepo. Give me one video link of your so called 1 meepo 1 job skills.

    • @B20C0
      @B20C0 10 років тому +7

      mvpmickey1
      True. Professional players have high APM on 1 hero and most of them (e.g. Purge if you wanna count him in) use 2 control groups for Meepo.
      +Team John
      Controlling 4 Meepos at seperate locations with 4 unique playstyles isn't humanly possible because you simply cannot control 1 Meepo at one location and watch another one. You have to switch around. 4 different location means that you, even if you are really good, have to look at one of them for 0.5-1 seconds to see where he is, what he does, look if he is being ganked or not etc. and perform some actions (moving, casting, attacking creeps/enemies).
      That means you leave another one unwatched for 1-3 seconds which is WAY too much time in professional games, as even 1 second often decides about life or death.
      In fights APM are high but I won't say highter as with Invoker because you usually perform a repeating fluid sequence of spells like poof or net where as Invoker you have to use your spells, activate your Quas, Wex, Exort for the next spells (and that FAST) and then use them aswell, in a different manner than the other spells.
      That being said my guess is that Invoker is harder to play due to spell usage, positioning etc while Meepo requires a little bit more Micromanagement.

    • @mvpmikey
      @mvpmikey 10 років тому +5

      Team John 4 Players controlling meepo makes your point invalid. 1 player = 1 meepo isn't APM, its just your regular Hero.
      Your old comment (4 meepo, 1 player, each meepo doing different stuff) itself is nonesense.

      I mean 2 seconds is amazing but still it gives you the opportunity to use 4 spells max(dont argue because math xD) without a refresher before BKB's are used. Still 0 seconds would be too op.

    • @ButtersDaBaller
      @ButtersDaBaller 11 років тому +4

      meh. I agree. I REALLY wish it would remove CD, because 3 seconds reduction (from 5 to 2) isn't THAT much at all compared to other INSANE aghs upgrades (like pudge, for example) and the remove mana cost is worthless later in the game (about when you get aghs) I mean, unless you have 0 cooldown, the mana cost of invoke is NOT a problem.. its gay how they will make easy to play heroes so powerful and buff them (maybe heroes like viper?) and yet they cant RAISE the skillcap and potential of more difficult heroes to play (invoker being the most prominent.) I do not think that removing the cd would be OP. I would have to say it'd be well deserved and welcomed by the DotA community.. just my thoughts :)

    • @Minizor27
      @Minizor27 11 років тому +2

      Sadly... Just the early game cooldown is such a piss off. I always go WWQ Invoke then WWW just to find invoke is on cooldown. but when you get ags is HEAVEN after that like 20 seconds invoke cooldown.

    This has to be one of the most overrated skill displays ever and before you call me troll and "just jealous" let me explain why. he does about 1.1 spell/sec (i counted to 30 invoked spells 0:14-0:40 (also, im not sure if he actually casted all of em)). I did the invoker game in 10.2 sec (invoke 10 spells, google it). Sure, you dont have to cast the spells in that time but on the other hand you need to invoke the specific spells the comp randomizes for you instead of just improvising like dendi did, so if you get like tornado after sunstrike you lose time.
    And 10.2 isnt even good, i got it in a few tries. I have a friend with 6.5 and there's alot of people with like 5 sec and a few with 4 sec in the highscores, more than twice as fast as dendi.
    Any starcraft player past diamond league require at least this level of finger dexterity, to be good at good old brood war even more. And you dont need to be a gamer to have "fingering skills" either. Musical instruments for example, almost any speed/thrash metal guitar solo is much faster than this, as is many classical piano pieces. Search for pet chien or moonlight sonata (mvt 3), anyone who can play shit like that have far more dex in their fingers than dendi (or, to be fair, at least more than what he showed in this vid).
    And no, im not bashing dendi, not even remotely. Obviously dendi is a great dota player, you'd have to be to be playing mid in navi, but dota (even if you play invo or meepo) requires essentially zero execution skills compared to games like starcraft or almost any fighting game. Dota is about hero knowledge, mindgames, and communicating efficiently and consistently.
    And yes, this was a long rant but im getting frustrated about how grossly misunderstood dota is and how incredibly easily impressed people are by finger dexterity, I actually think most people aged 12-50 could beat the invoker game in under 10 sec if they just learned the spells and practiced for just a few hours. Its such a straightforward skill to acquire and looks so much harder than it is.

      Well i aint even possible to make cast all these spells with 10.2 secs lol. if it aint realistic then why argue Dendi aint fast enough...u dont need to be fast enough. u have to be knowledgeable enough with invoker to know which skill u need at the time and which combonation of element you need to combine for it.
      I would like to see you make a video of yourself executing this tho. and are you on twitch and what is your rating?? you play SC2? well Sc2 life span wont go as far as Dota2 would ever. since the SC2 community is slowly dying

    Theres one funny story, I remember when I watched those pro invoker plays
    like grimorum, ferrari, cook blabla, I told myself even if I born again with 10 more fingers Im not gonna be able to do those things, and right now (im not dota1 player)
    I became descent invoker player, along with legacy hotkeys, funny thing is why I do that
    just because ppl always keep sayin that invoker in dota 1 is like 10 times harder than in dota 2, just because of keys controls, that was like challenge for me, btw from 2012 to 2014 I mastered this hero very well, dont get me wrong im not trying to say that Im specail or something, Im just trying to say that everything is posible and easy just with training...

    • @niconiconii4561
      @niconiconii4561 8 років тому +15

      not really. this is as fast as 330-350 apm which is majority of grandmasters and pros' apm. and he is using them in order unlike most starcraft "apm" which includes spamming 123 f1 f2 14e53232

    • @Dimitri1221XxX
      @Dimitri1221XxX 8 років тому +3

      In Starcraft a pro's APM can go upwards of 300 when they are doing APM intensive things such as splitting marines vs banes/storms/fungals, etc. In Dota 2, this is never the case. This video just showcases Dendi's APM on Invoker when he has 0 CD's. In game, there are CD's hence his APM is never this high in a standard match. Also, Invoker is the only hero that requires high APM to play correctly. Also, the apm spam at the begining of a SC2 match is to get a pro's hands warmed up for the match. Mid battle you will see a pro's APM sky rocket because he is microing his army and counter attacking and macroing all at once. Not even close to as much managing to do in Dota 2.

    • @niconiconii4561
      @niconiconii4561 8 років тому +10

      Dimitri Sainis it's pretty obvious that these two games are doing different things. the fact that dendi is doing the same apm as pros in starcraft is what I'm talking about. they have nothing to laugh about as he is doing everything in order and perfectly while being as fast as starcraft pros. I've never said anything about him doing the same as pros so I'm not sure what the fuck you are trying to show in that paragraph. you literally said nothing because you just stated that the two games are different which makes your first comment make even less sense than before. your original comment was definitely about apm which in this case dendi kept up with pros in starcraft even in high apm range.

      Invoker requires 4 key presses to invoke a spell, 3 different orbs and the invoke itself. Then he has to cast that spell... so Dendi here is repeatedly pressing about 5 keys for each spell.
      On screen you can see him casting a spell every second or so.
