The actor behind Hiccup is Jay Baruchel, he's been in quite a few movies as of late and he's probably one of my favorite actors simply because he does the socially awkward/geeky role so well... I think he would have been great in the Toby Maguire Spiderman movies just due to how much more believable he is as a nerd. Completely off topic and super late, but I've just enjoyed him in pretty much every movie I've seen him in so far.
+TheIsraeli G Hate to ruin it for you, but girls actually are able to feel even a pencil, which is half as thick as his fingers. So size indeed doesn't matter at all.
I know I'm late to this, but there's a documentary on DotA players called Free To Play on Steam and it shows a bit about Dendi's background and how his mother plays the piano, and was taught by her. It's nice to see that you sort of recognize the well... "Hands of a pianist."
This isn't supposed to be a show off. It's TRAINING. Everyone who wants to play a good voker needs to do this to develop muscle memory so that you don't need to think about spells when you need them in real game. It just happens. You have to bring the time of 5 keystrokes down to 1 basically.
Team John That's not APM, you only last hit in the main meepo while the rest auto attack on jungle. ...no professional players separate all 4 meepo. Its one on main with dagger while the rest is grouped up on a safe location. I can post you all meepo videos and none separates 4 meepo. Give me one video link of your so called 1 meepo 1 job skills.
mvpmickey1 True. Professional players have high APM on 1 hero and most of them (e.g. Purge if you wanna count him in) use 2 control groups for Meepo. +Team John Controlling 4 Meepos at seperate locations with 4 unique playstyles isn't humanly possible because you simply cannot control 1 Meepo at one location and watch another one. You have to switch around. 4 different location means that you, even if you are really good, have to look at one of them for 0.5-1 seconds to see where he is, what he does, look if he is being ganked or not etc. and perform some actions (moving, casting, attacking creeps/enemies). That means you leave another one unwatched for 1-3 seconds which is WAY too much time in professional games, as even 1 second often decides about life or death. In fights APM are high but I won't say highter as with Invoker because you usually perform a repeating fluid sequence of spells like poof or net where as Invoker you have to use your spells, activate your Quas, Wex, Exort for the next spells (and that FAST) and then use them aswell, in a different manner than the other spells. That being said my guess is that Invoker is harder to play due to spell usage, positioning etc while Meepo requires a little bit more Micromanagement.
Team John 4 Players controlling meepo makes your point invalid. 1 player = 1 meepo isn't APM, its just your regular Hero. Your old comment (4 meepo, 1 player, each meepo doing different stuff) itself is nonesense.
Team John Did you really just write L2Write? Meaning Learn to write... Honestly I refuse to read any of your other statements because you are such a hypocrite.
It's just about switching the spells around. Also the description says it was warmup for the match they would've a few minutes later vs mTw. It's like sportlers running/stretching before the match,
You know he is using Legacy that means that each spell has it's different button + he is doing it in and order and takes a lot of practice. and you don't need to type "-wtf on" the command is "-wtf" and to remove it is "-unwtf"
I wish invoke level 4 with ags had 0 cooldown so we could spam everything(probably would be op) because if you practise enough 2 seconds is too long to wait :/
Bartek Sojka I mean 2 seconds is amazing but still it gives you the opportunity to use 4 spells max(dont argue because math xD) without a refresher before BKB's are used. Still 0 seconds would be too op.
meh. I agree. I REALLY wish it would remove CD, because 3 seconds reduction (from 5 to 2) isn't THAT much at all compared to other INSANE aghs upgrades (like pudge, for example) and the remove mana cost is worthless later in the game (about when you get aghs) I mean, unless you have 0 cooldown, the mana cost of invoke is NOT a problem.. its gay how they will make easy to play heroes so powerful and buff them (maybe heroes like viper?) and yet they cant RAISE the skillcap and potential of more difficult heroes to play (invoker being the most prominent.) I do not think that removing the cd would be OP. I would have to say it'd be well deserved and welcomed by the DotA community.. just my thoughts :)
Sadly... Just the early game cooldown is such a piss off. I always go WWQ Invoke then WWW just to find invoke is on cooldown. but when you get ags is HEAVEN after that like 20 seconds invoke cooldown.
Matthew Butterworth They should nerf forge spirit invokers and buff the casters. Much more intersting to watch in tourneys and i think every good invo would be happy with it.
This has to be one of the most overrated skill displays ever and before you call me troll and "just jealous" let me explain why. he does about 1.1 spell/sec (i counted to 30 invoked spells 0:14-0:40 (also, im not sure if he actually casted all of em)). I did the invoker game in 10.2 sec (invoke 10 spells, google it). Sure, you dont have to cast the spells in that time but on the other hand you need to invoke the specific spells the comp randomizes for you instead of just improvising like dendi did, so if you get like tornado after sunstrike you lose time. And 10.2 isnt even good, i got it in a few tries. I have a friend with 6.5 and there's alot of people with like 5 sec and a few with 4 sec in the highscores, more than twice as fast as dendi. Any starcraft player past diamond league require at least this level of finger dexterity, to be good at good old brood war even more. And you dont need to be a gamer to have "fingering skills" either. Musical instruments for example, almost any speed/thrash metal guitar solo is much faster than this, as is many classical piano pieces. Search for pet chien or moonlight sonata (mvt 3), anyone who can play shit like that have far more dex in their fingers than dendi (or, to be fair, at least more than what he showed in this vid). And no, im not bashing dendi, not even remotely. Obviously dendi is a great dota player, you'd have to be to be playing mid in navi, but dota (even if you play invo or meepo) requires essentially zero execution skills compared to games like starcraft or almost any fighting game. Dota is about hero knowledge, mindgames, and communicating efficiently and consistently. And yes, this was a long rant but im getting frustrated about how grossly misunderstood dota is and how incredibly easily impressed people are by finger dexterity, I actually think most people aged 12-50 could beat the invoker game in under 10 sec if they just learned the spells and practiced for just a few hours. Its such a straightforward skill to acquire and looks so much harder than it is.
Well i aint even possible to make cast all these spells with 10.2 secs lol. if it aint realistic then why argue Dendi aint fast enough...u dont need to be fast enough. u have to be knowledgeable enough with invoker to know which skill u need at the time and which combonation of element you need to combine for it. I would like to see you make a video of yourself executing this tho. and are you on twitch and what is your rating?? you play SC2? well Sc2 life span wont go as far as Dota2 would ever. since the SC2 community is slowly dying
Theres one funny story, I remember when I watched those pro invoker plays like grimorum, ferrari, cook blabla, I told myself even if I born again with 10 more fingers Im not gonna be able to do those things, and right now (im not dota1 player) I became descent invoker player, along with legacy hotkeys, funny thing is why I do that just because ppl always keep sayin that invoker in dota 1 is like 10 times harder than in dota 2, just because of keys controls, that was like challenge for me, btw from 2012 to 2014 I mastered this hero very well, dont get me wrong im not trying to say that Im specail or something, Im just trying to say that everything is posible and easy just with training...
RyanMcFryin Oh man ^^ wrong info you got there, Grimorum has many fakers that are in low mmr ranges but the true Grimorum has something like over 5k, if you don't believe me go to his channel and then to his mmr ranking profile. Idk, where you got that he is 3,7k lol
Dont know if you guys gives a damn but if you are stoned like me during the covid times you can watch all of the latest movies and series on instaflixxer. Been streaming with my girlfriend for the last couple of weeks xD
not really. this is as fast as 330-350 apm which is majority of grandmasters and pros' apm. and he is using them in order unlike most starcraft "apm" which includes spamming 123 f1 f2 14e53232
In Starcraft a pro's APM can go upwards of 300 when they are doing APM intensive things such as splitting marines vs banes/storms/fungals, etc. In Dota 2, this is never the case. This video just showcases Dendi's APM on Invoker when he has 0 CD's. In game, there are CD's hence his APM is never this high in a standard match. Also, Invoker is the only hero that requires high APM to play correctly. Also, the apm spam at the begining of a SC2 match is to get a pro's hands warmed up for the match. Mid battle you will see a pro's APM sky rocket because he is microing his army and counter attacking and macroing all at once. Not even close to as much managing to do in Dota 2.
Dimitri Sainis it's pretty obvious that these two games are doing different things. the fact that dendi is doing the same apm as pros in starcraft is what I'm talking about. they have nothing to laugh about as he is doing everything in order and perfectly while being as fast as starcraft pros. I've never said anything about him doing the same as pros so I'm not sure what the fuck you are trying to show in that paragraph. you literally said nothing because you just stated that the two games are different which makes your first comment make even less sense than before. your original comment was definitely about apm which in this case dendi kept up with pros in starcraft even in high apm range.
Ulfsaar Wigolwigol Does it though ? He probably already spent it all on hookers and blow for all your know. Na'Vi is shit now, Dendi is meh, no longer top 3 mid players in the world any more.
its "easier" to play in. a huge monitor is impractical and pro players dont usually need added visuals for gameplay unlike casual gamers who do it for fun and who would prefer better visuals.
Ive watched a commentary and dendi gets his skills from playing piano when he was a kid. I guess his mom taught him.. and everything he does from sports to musical he is always the top dog..
Invoker requires 4 key presses to invoke a spell, 3 different orbs and the invoke itself. Then he has to cast that spell... so Dendi here is repeatedly pressing about 5 keys for each spell. On screen you can see him casting a spell every second or so.
Commands: [-wtf] - Gets rid of all cooldowns and manacosts for items and abilities [-gold 99999] - Gives you that much gold (can be set to any amount under 99999). And -lvlup 25 if you're lazy.
Why is he typing so much? Does the Hero walks with keyboard? I understand the cooldown of some abilities takes some time, or does he has an item to restart that cooldown?
WTF isn't great for invoker training because you end up forgetting about the 2 second invoke cool down and try cast too many spells at once. But I guess its good to for remembering spells though.
Um that is he doing that requires so much key mashing? Maybe it's because I've never played invoker, but with most heroes it's pretty straight forward. Not trying to criticize, i'm genuinely curious, maybe I'm doing something wrong.
Maybe because the purpose of this video is to show us Dendi's apm? And i don't see Dendi playing against/with any player there, it's just a demonstration about it.
Invoker has like 20 moves and you have to put in a combo for each one and the no cooldown is because of WTF mode which makes moves have no cool down and cost no mana
you're right, in my opnion , being good in SC is much harder than being good in dota 2, nevertheless, they are two different games, and shouldn't really be compared. I like both
When i first see this vid i thought he is insane how can someone be so fast and after 1 month of invoker practice I was like hmmm this is fucking ez i can do this aaaaallll day
Dendi looks like that kid from How to train your dragon.
Hiccup?

just an old-style dude who carried 6 mjollnirs in his pocket.
He'll make some girls VERY happy with that finger speed....
+Isaac Lucas hate to ruin your dream but his fingers are so skinny i doubt the girls would feel anything
+TheIsraeli G Hate to ruin it for you, but girls actually are able to feel even a pencil, which is half as thick as his fingers. So size indeed doesn't matter at all.
Slithereenn Hate to ruin it for you but i can feel a ant walking on me dont mean its a massage
TheIsraeli G
That depends on how intensively this ant is going to pound on you.
Slithereenn i heard ants can lift 100 lb
In 1 week his keyboard will be broken...unless it is made from titanium
what keyboard break after a week when clicking like that
XAAX LOL PIANO
i guess that is why he got sponsored, the sponsored team feels so sad to him for destroying most of his keyboard
dude.. korean starcraft gamers are way, way faster than this. Literally 4 times as much APM
Kinjutsuu lol what yeah they are really good but they aint way faster then this that would be literally impossable
респект таким пацанам, не каждый сможет в руну прокаст из 12-ти тысяч скиллов дать.
I invoke as fast as dendi therefore i am dendi
cannot argue against that
Kyle Jesse and do you hit the spells?
Nino7771 He said he invokes as fast as Dendi. He never said anything about the spells. Did you even read?
well i guess piano really does help you with dota
I tried and I broke three fingers, 2 were dislocated and fractured the last.
***** I support with the other hand...
his finger is good.. but the brain really awesome..
Ahhh the golden age of dota 2
Really makes you appreciate how good this guy is, and why he won a TI.

He's like playing a piano :3
lol
he was playing a piano before playing games :D

Invoker is the only Hero that uses APM, everything else is plainly hand and eyes coordination.
Team John Nope, I play meepo and it doesn't need APM. It has the same play style as every other heroes.
Team John That's not APM, you only last hit in the main meepo while the rest auto attack on jungle.

Invoker its so fucking easu hero i trust the most difficult hero is earth spirit
Go home.
8 Of the ten spells Invokers use are skill shot. Yes, I agree with master , go home you're drunk.
Bonfiya Powa it's still not hard , it's easy to play , but to master that takes some time..
exactly my friend
Felix Rubio Everyone hero is easy to play. Playing it well is the hardest.
his gf is the happiest woman on earth
I seriously doubt he has one, no offense :)
@@amigocaffe what makes ya think that...
It's just about switching the spells around. Also the description says it was warmup for the match they would've a few minutes later vs mTw.
It's like sportlers running/stretching before the match,
Предлагаю сделать ульт инвокера без кд=)
это тоже самое будет что и с аганимом =D
Cat box Если бы ты часто играл на Инвокере, то знал бы, что 2 секунды КД от ульты - это много.
ну я знаю что 2 секунды =D
Cat subscribe на максимальном уровне кд 4 секунды аганим 2 секунды
Как бы пофиксили эту шляпу, раньше аганим как раз и убирал кд с ульты.
If Dendi is in WTF with Invoker, then why doesn't he just spam out Sunstrikes and stay in the fountain?
Because what is the point in doing that? That is not training, that is just spamming Sunstrikes.
guly I like how you don't even talk about how this is a bad question or even spell\punctuate correctly.
Matthew Hall It could be... see how many times you can Sunstrike in a minute.
that's too nOOb!!!!!!!

I tried doing that and broke a finger :(
Watching him use his keyboard is like watching Mozart play the Piano
Its like comparing how you manage 1 worker vs how you manage many workers. What a fair comparison you got there...
LIGHTOFHEAVEN IN THE BACKGROUND!!!
Look at his hand movements, extreme speed!
What's so impressive about this?
Watch his fingers.
He is cycling through his spells very fast
SpiketheMuffin An average woman in a office types faster.
miltonluvsno1 Don't forget an average office typist is using TWO hands. Also without having real concentration. Do not compare typing to DotA.
DarkSun123456789 uhhh hmmm. Okay you can go that way I guess. It is the internet after all.
What is that headphone might be? Its freaking nice
steelseries navi special, you can find them on the steelseries site ;)

I've never said anything about him doing the same as pros so I'm not sure what the fuck you are trying to show in that paragraph. you literally said nothing because you just stated that the two games are different which makes your first comment make even less sense than before. your original comment was definitely about apm which in this case dendi kept up with pros in starcraft even in high apm range.
+Dimitri Sainis His bank account laughs at yours
Ulfsaar Wigolwigol Does it though ? He probably already spent it all on hookers and blow for all your know. Na'Vi is shit now, Dendi is meh, no longer top 3 mid players in the world any more.
Дэнди не подумывал о том, чтобы сыграть на пианино "Полет шмеля"?
DENDI IS LEGENDARY DOTA GOD 👍👍👍
Инвокер головного мозга
so the pro players play on 4:3 ratio monitor?
asking the real question
its "easier" to play in. a huge monitor is impractical and pro players dont usually need added visuals for gameplay unlike casual gamers who do it for fun and who would prefer better visuals.
Viky Viki
its 16:9 monitor...
4:3 monitor is square look
@@lei5445 i know this is kinda late
but when i saw 0:49
it is almost square
Хммм,если там WTF мод,то можно просто рандомно нажимать кнопки и скилы будут разные костоваться XD
он на себя алакрити кинул, прокаст -метеор, бласт, ураган. рандом?
Dendi is so overrated....there are better invokers out there. Biased much?
yea like coldsnap + spirits spamers in public games
carlos escobar I agree there are a lot of those. But ehhh tornado emp cold snap meteor combo too good late game with aghs. xD
Ive watched a commentary and dendi gets his skills from playing piano when he was a kid. I guess his mom taught him.. and everything he does from sports to musical he is always the top dog..
Ok...what the hell is he hitting on the keyboard and for WHAT REASON?
hot keys for ability's
Invoker requires 4 key presses to invoke a spell, 3 different orbs and the invoke itself. Then he has to cast that spell... so Dendi here is repeatedly pressing about 5 keys for each spell.
On screen you can see him casting a spell every second or so.
It's impressive, but still not as impressive as the pro SC2 players...
lol sc2 players 121212121212121212121212121212121212 not that impressive it's not that different from wc3
ho ly SHIT
Someone knows which
keyboard he is using ??
ggwp.
пианист херов :D
Ага)
That's high apm ? Have you seen starcraft ? :D
What is the name of the song playing at the beginning and end?
How do u do wtf mode? I also want to train
create lobby, go to setting and enable cheat :) hf
Commands:
[-wtf] - Gets rid of all cooldowns and manacosts for items and abilities
[-gold 99999] - Gives you that much gold (can be set to any amount under 99999).
And -lvlup 25 if you're lazy.
I'm a regular Starcraftatian trying to understand Dota slowely because of Teamliquid. What did I see here or what did i have to pay attention to?
Little do you guys know he’s typing up his entrance paper for his university while playing Dota
Insane like usual love u dendi
His left hand is a spider?
doin all ten spell just to kill the creep ? with the amp ?
now im thinking
+shagrath sun He's actually practicing some combos.
Why is he typing so much? Does the Hero walks with keyboard? I understand the cooldown of some abilities takes some time, or does he has an item to restart that cooldown?
Как сделать так чтобы твой коммент был в топе у этого видео.
Написать просто "ЭТО Я ЕБАНАРОТ"
WTF , the fast hands and finger zzz best of pro gamer
WTF isn't great for invoker training because you end up forgetting about the 2 second invoke cool down and try cast too many spells at once. But I guess its good to for remembering spells though.
Um that is he doing that requires so much key mashing? Maybe it's because I've never played invoker, but with most heroes it's pretty straight forward. Not trying to criticize, i'm genuinely curious, maybe I'm doing something wrong.
For invoker, u nid to combine his 3 skills in a order to come up with other skills. So, yeah. It's mecessary.
to go invisible for example, .. you need to press 5 keys
he has 12 abilities and his q w and e are 3 elements he mixes together to make different abilities
Invoker sounds difficult.
exmo7 Untill u learn them off by heart, yeh. After that it's piss.
hey guys, how to enable WTF mode?>
When in a lobby you edit the settings to allow cheats. Then type -WTF
is he typing or playing dota? omg, that hand
как пальцы так быстро двигаются??
Maybe because the purpose of this video is to show us Dendi's apm? And i don't see Dendi playing against/with any player there, it's just a demonstration about it.
0:41 "fingers fucking stop can't see if there's a rune"
Invoker has like 20 moves and you have to put in a combo for each one and the no cooldown is because of WTF mode which makes moves have no cool down and cost no mana
Шёл 2018, это видео появилось у меня в рекомендациях
you're right, in my opnion , being good in SC is much harder than being good in dota 2, nevertheless, they are two different games, and shouldn't really be compared. I like both
what kind of combo is that? ghost walk and then meteor?
When i first see this vid i thought he is insane how can someone be so fast and after 1 month of invoker practice
I was like hmmm this is fucking ez i can do this aaaaallll day
may i ask where are you from?
Is that a hand or machine?
have you ever seen dendi on invoker????i don't think so
Intro/Outro song name someone?
This left me speechless
whats the name of that monitor ?
What nationality is NAVI from?
ya i have seen all of them and all of grimorum's videos, this video is not about pro invoker play, but just about the apm
What type of keyboard was that?
