In a world of 2000hp electric supercars and electric SUVs with 15,000Nm worth of torque a la Hummer EV, it really is these kind of videos with "slightly unusual" vehicles that I like, appreciate and would rather watch - no offense supercars; well done WR!! (fist bump)
Hoping that this newfound popular/consumer interest in cargo Vans will push automakers to offer some more interesting/better looking products in this segment. Would absolutely love a transit connect st, for instance
Been thinking about getting a transit... thinking about getting a van i can live in when I'm out of H.S. if i can't afford a dorm. And i think this sealed the deal.
The front grille of this Connect is so good looking.I have Mk1 Transit Connect Cargo Van 90 HP.I think I would lower 2 cm and put 205/60/16 inch tires.I have 195/65/15 at the moment.
These drive like a dream. Drove mine to Michigan last year and it was comfortable. Would like to see the tuner MS-RT from the UK do these in the states.
I've always wanted to take the SWB "wagon" model (same length as this one but with 5 seats) in top end Titanium trim with the 1.6 turbo engine and see if I could manual swap and throw a nice tune at it. Maybe see if some Focus performance parts would carry over given the shared lineage too.
The Fiesta ST manual transmission swaps in easily, but you need the linkages and pedal box of the European model to complete the swap, maybe a wire pigtail or two so you're not in a perpetual CEL over some body module missing a signal.
Anyone know what the reliability record for these transits are? Have become very interested in getting one to make into our Ideal family road trip vehicle.
I own one. Transit connect passenger. No. No they do not. Ford realized if people wanted power, they get a full sized van or truck. These are built for full economy. Has all the weight of a mid-sized van and the smallest engine Ford could make work. 0-60 when it feels like it.
@@theminajreviews7694 love how some people go straight to insulting people over vehicles. Sorry to offend you personally, but no one is holding it to sports car levels of performance. But when you compare it to other vehicles designed to haul cargo, it is underpowered. It is designed for economy. Period. Ford did it's research. That is why it comes with the smallest 4 banger possible. I own one. I am obviously a fan. But people interested in this need to know it actual limits. It is not a beefy vehicle. Period. Now, be Blessed and have a wonderful day and spread your Sunshine for all to see.
@Frank Dux No, no. Solid. A very smooth drive. For it being a utility vehicle at it's core, it is surprisingly quiet and it handles like a dream. It's just that Ford figured out if you're buying the smaller van the main driving force behind that decision is you want economy. These are great on gas and are at a fantastic price point to buy. But there are absolutely no rattles or substandard construction on it at all.
Never thought I'd say this, but... That van sounds good!

I’m attempting to injure myself cause of this comment
It is probably the magic of "European design".
Lol ye
"How slow are you at work today, dear?" "Well, I'm watching a POV drive of a cargo van, if that says anything"
Lol😂
I work 11 hours a row
I drove one of these for work and they handle surprisingly well. It corners flat!
*lol when he opened the truck I got 1998 Ford windstar vibes*
Mad respect for doing a Ford Transit. 👊🏽😉
This is a great work van for small business
for some reason i want a van as a daily driver
I LOVE my 2021 Ford Transit Connect cargo van, it is an awesome daily driver!

not the content we wanted but the content we needed. Im supposed to be studying but I gotta see that van

You’d want to live in a normal transit though not the transit connect cause this can only have a bed and that’s about it

The chime fades 💨🌬️
If I drove like this in the fully loaded reefer full size transits I drive I think it’s safe to say it would be on its side.

Interior kind of reminds me of the Previous generation escape
Yeah, the interior is pretty similar to my 2017 Focus
@@mikeylind8107 van driver with rem pfp
Wow, felt like I was doing the test driving .👍
Van driving nice
Ford should have made SWB with AWD in the US. Would sell, but bought a 19 Escape with AWD. Loved the 14 SWB XLT I had and sold with 180K miles on it.
This baby belongs on the Ring.
Beautiful landscapes

Imagine swapping the 2.5l turbo with 350 hp in this
@@lethargicstove2024 That'd be absolutely sick.

wanna see you driving a vuhl❤️
The seats are important when considering a truck like this. Do the seats recline? Are they adjustable?
I want one of these so bad but I'm stuck with my crappy HHR until my finances improve.
Excellent vehicle, nice video, but why don't you apply the parking brake?
I’d like to drive these!!
@windingroadmagazine Genuinely curious if your microphones are just overly sensitive, or if the NVH is that bad in the van?
This would be a good van to send to space
Below the “infotainment” screen looks like the face of a startled cartoon robot.

good car. thanks

But it does..

@@toddc3988 again it does have power, it can do whatever you need it to do. Stop holding cargo vans to the extent of a sports car. Jackass
