Carr already showed with gruden that he is at his best when he can play fast and change the plays according to what the defense shows, he ended 2020 with 4200yds, 30tds and 8 ints scoring 27ppg with agholor (who nobody wanted and was signed with 700k salary) and very unpolished rookie ruggs as wr1.
He started 2021 as the offensive player of the month ahead of mahomes and Allen throwing for 1100yds and 8tds in 3 games (averaging 30ppg) before the gruden drama, if gruden wasnt sabotaged by the league the raiders would be contenders right now
And in 2021 he had 4800 yards. While calling the plays at the line after Gruden was ousted.

@@BrentonBannister-gc2ptwith saints run game all but guaranteed to struggle, at least until the OL gets settled, that means Carr will have to carry the offense again. This year he won't be learning all new WR's, so it shouldn't take as long adjusting as it did last season.
The Saints need to talk to the Raiders about Devante Adams in a trade. The could probably get him for A first round pick and Lattimore. The should be dialing the phone right now. Adding Adams to the receiving corps would instantly elevate the to at least three to four more wins this season. Step up and get it done.
I’d be down with this move, good idea but I don’t think they’d deal Davante.
I think carr would improve Adams production to top 3 in the league like he did 2 years ago

We have the weapons to be explosive, carr is one of the best deep passers in the league, paired with shaheed and olave speed we should be a fast paced offense, the trouble is that kubiak's scheme is based on having a good running game, if the line doesnt get better our season might be already over
I think Kubiak knows that if the run game can't get going, that he can lean on Carrs arm to carry the offense, much like last season.
I'm actually hoping the run game is below average, bc that's when QB's have had the greatest seasons of their careers, lol.
I think the offense will be good the 1st 2 weeks, struggle the next 3 or 4, then go off down the stretch. It will be top 5, and combined with the best secondary in the NFL (bc Kool aid is going to be a BEAST), Saints should be in line for a special season. Just the right mix of youth and vets, good coaching on offense and defense......Saints should be a dark horse contender.

10 offenses avg 25 + points a game & still lose I’ve seen him take a lead with less than 20 secs left & still lose games … I’m not gonna lie out defenses were historically bad several times the seasons we went 8-8 or 7-9 could easily been 10-6 or even better
I'm not concerned about anything other than the offensive line, if that O-line isn't much improved over last season it won't matter who is at QB, RB, WR, TE, Taysom. Even though we had a top 10 defense it didn't matter because we couldn't win time of possession and score points so the defense was on the field 55 - 65 % of the time.

Houston had a bottom 5 OL last year. It mattered who they had at QB/WR
Shortening the plays will help the o-line. Chris Long spoke about the d-line being able to get a good start by seeing the play clock run down and watching the center look back and then come back to the football right before the play clock ran down. This happened a lot with Pete and Sean with all the personnel changes and then getting the calls in. Sometimes we got penalties or had to call timeouts due to this.
It’ll def help getting in and out of the huddle

Ross is a guy that tends to say so much but really isn’t saying anything at all. Just a lot of fluff and random nonsense like talking about lagniappe in vivid detail like he’s Emeril Legasse in the kitchen. He gives off strong vibes that he never played sports too, it really gets old. He said lagniappe about 10 times wow.

Good breakdown of the difference in the shorter versus longer play calls. I think it's good that the players would have to know everybody else's assignment, and not just their own, if that turns out to be the consequences of the shorter play calls. It has to be better if all the players can see how all the pieces fit together.

Sean Payton’s last year in New Orleans wasn’t very creative either. Running a Drew Brees offense with non Drew Brees quarterbacks is not creative at all. Payton wasn’t very creative without Drew Brees.
Payton has struggled post-Brees. He definitely needs to evolve his system.
I will say I hated when Sean would bring in personnel every single play. He does it still with the Broncos. PC copied it, but the key was that we didn't have Brees anymore.

We showed weekly analytics (Expected Value over average on a per-play basis) last season. Pete was bottom 5 every week and routinely ranked last. So he was as bad as advertised.
It's easy not to have notes when you're using someone else's video to navigate through yours. It's more like having a ghost writer for your raps.
