I'm 72. We had this on an LP of Henry Mancini hits and it got played Extensively. I was in everything our school had for music. We sang this song in choir, and small choir, and men's group. Played it in dance band. It will be a long time before I forget this. Yes she did an excellent job. Soft and easy to listen to. She also sang it in a range that I can sing to as well.

I got setup and there he was...Henry Mancini. While waiting to go on-air he asked me what the name of the river was outside the window. I said that was the Ohio River. He looked at it and smiled. I can never hear Moon River and not think of that moment.

It really stood out, I followed the show since the beginning and that was definitely one of the best performance in the show's history. Mainly because I like oldies, folk and slow songs, and I feel not many people who sings in competition are able to really that vibe. I mean the kind that instantly mesmerises you and bring you into the song. Im glad she has a channel here, but I hope she does more covers.

You have no idea how this song has touched my heart and recalled a simpler time when I was 7 and it was1962. We watched Bonanza every Sunday as a family. Once it was over the Andy Williams Show came on and he would sing the beginning of Moon River. As a child, I didn't like it because it meant time for bed. But you sang it so beautifully. Your voice is just as beautiful as you are
