A lot of those old planes, especially of Russian decent, are purely cable controlled flying surfaces. Those can be a handful for just one guy...

Nice video. Man oh man, they have all of junk in the cockpit. So unlike today's aircraft, all picture tubes. Seemed like a fairly long take off roll.

Flugzeug Dokus This one has autopilot too... They are just doing a small tour so it's not needed to engage the qutopilot.
