Hardy Amies was an integral part of Operation Ratweek, an assassination project developed by SOE to eliminate double agents and Nazi sympathizers in Belgium. Years later he continued to deny being any part of the matter. A spy to the very end. Do you know of any other artist types who were involved in counter espionage? Surely there must have been because it totally makes sense to use someone with a keen sense of self therefore someone who knew people through observation. Let us know in the comments please?

Jacques Cousteau was part of the French resistance, Samuel Beckett lived in Paris and worked for the French underground during the war, Gertrude Stein and Picasso had connections to the resistance.
Malreaux was a fake resistance fighter, he drove around France in a WW1 French general's uniform pretending to unite the different resistance units and promising air drops from England that never materialized.
His brother actually did work for them. After the war Malreaux printed his own official-looking letter heads, from fake departments virtually creating his own position in the newly forming post-war government. He was considered a great writer.
Laurens Van Der Post was a spy from South Africa, Somerset Maugham played a role in espionage if I'm not mistaken. As a mathematician, Hedy Lamarr helped make frequency burst transmissions possible and frequency hopping radio signals for secrecy during the war.
Ian Flemming was famously part of the SOE and has credited himself with various inventions and operations that were significant during that era.
Julia Child the famous TV Chef worked for the OSS as an analyst, so she wasn't just a gourmet.
Italian painter Georgio Morandi was arrested in 43' for his anti-fascist statements, (53 yrs old) and while he isn't connected to any spy networks that I can cite, he must have made Mussolini upset and to me that's worth mentioning.😂

It was rumoured that Christopher Lee played a role in the clandestine war as well: he sometimes making veiled references to that effect during interviews when he became a famous actor. But researchers with access to records have since de-bunked his claims. Besides no true operator would make any references to their secret past : Aimes was the real deal. 👍

Time and place both play a part, though. If you were in Ukraine, Gaza, Libya, Myanmar, DRC, you could be experiencing these things this very moment. It's a more delicate balance than most people realize, some would say that we have already crossed the line into a third world war, and we just haven't had that one big defining moment to solidify it yet. I don't mean to scare you, but I do mean to convince you that it's more important than ever to vote for the left wing, wherever you are. The right wing warmongers have too much money to make on war, they'll jump in in a heartbeat. Please vote!

@14mr. Francois Mitterand was on the side of the Vichy collaboration government in France until it became obvious that the Allies would win, then he switched sides and eventually became President of France. Coco Chanel was a collaborator. Tens of thousands of babies were born to French women, fathered by German soldiers, while the women's husbands were either in POW camps or in slave labour camps. The French police, named the Milice, were responsible for rounding up French Jews and sending them to the death camps. One night there was a knock at our door and an Air Raid Warden was outside with a Dutch family who were Jewish refugees. He asked my mother if we had room for them, and she said yes. They lived with us until a house was found for them and we celebrated Christmas and Hannukah. One girl came to school with me and the nuns made a big fuss of them, telling the pupils that they were brave people from Holland. I still remember her name but i can't spell it. It was Janine Drusembrut (phonetic spelling).

Europe must have pondered with fervency how Belgium would advance strategically and tactically after their brave but ignominious defeat in 1914, early in WW1.
Whether one reads French, British or German historical accounts of 1935 through September 1-3, 1939 all agree that had Belgium worked with numerous and ongoing French requests to extend the Maginot Line through Belgium, thus sealing off Germany’s historic navigational go-around, the five week German conquest of the region would have been significantly stalled. Some hypothesize that a completed fortress line to the sea may have even altered the mid-1940 capitulation of France.
We are now left with this pressing question: have lessons been learned?
I strongly postulate that given the plethora of globalist, eugenicist and world government NGO’s headquartered in Belgium ,the answer is no.
To be fair as an American I proffer an apology for the militant merchants of debt, inflation and undeclared wars that my nation has become. The consequences will be devastating for many generations.

Studied KEW records for years & the 'nastys' for years more and have done so In detail because of old ghosts chasing me for personal reasons. Aimes was a both brilliant & a fool and a huge secuity dissapointment. None of the 'bad boys & girls' were 'done in', with the exception of 'innocent completely forgotten 'Annie Lall' during his times on guard (when German security completely controlled all allied ops, with few exceptions) within 3 months of beginning operational beginning. He had however a brilliant gift for self-promotional publicity, was a good REGAL hairdresser and was fashionably gay when times were just PERFECTLY right to seduce the Queen, hence the nation, and those mildly interesteð in him. Look it up. It's a fascinating story. TRUTH is fascinating . . . If you believe you are among the eye & ear cells of an old good God needing help with memory . . .

The music doesn’t bother me one bit. I thought the subject matter was really interesting. Rather sad that a rapist and creepo survived and fluorished back then, but gay people were being imprisoned and/or killed for having consensual sex. And that's still going on today.

Repressions against irregulare warfare by the germans was not infamous or kriminal, it was guilty law recommending the geneva convention and the Haager landwarfare.
And the railways in France/Belgium were destroyed bei the allies, not by the germans. Only the abandoned ports were attempted to block for a short time.

If anyone ever wonders the evolutionary mechanism for selecting homosexuality, this is the video to show them.
Half the You Tube content providers I watch are gay, they've simply got more time, less to lose and are forced to be consummate in the fields of subdefuge.

Being gay is illegal at that time? In God's pure eye it's always been illegal/abominable, and they with other practicing sinners (1corinth6:9,10) will not inherit the kingdom of God.
