Hi. I just got done with a facial co2 laser mole removal above my lip in Thailand.
The doctor advised me to keep it dry and avoid water for 3-5 days and to not cover it, but I am thinking of keeping it moist constantly with the ointment she gave me. She gave me Terramycin to apply until the scab forms and Melar B to apply after the scab falls. When i run out of ointment i am thinking of using aquaphor after. I also am thinking about keeping it covered when i am asleep or going out with a bandage if that’s okay?
I know she recommended to keep it dry and let it crust and scab so the scab can fall out naturally, but i am convinced keeping it moisturized is best.
My daily skincare also includes some by mi snail truecica miracle repair toner, BB amino niacinamide 6% + Salicyic acid serum, cerave moisturizer and SANA soy milk night cream and clindamycin gel (i’m probably going to avoid putting it on the area since the gel is for acne and is prescribed). I also use the cerave facial wash and i am wondering when can i do my regular skincare? if the ingredients aren’t best for the area, i will avoid applying my products on the area until it’s more healed.
I have lots of questions so i can do this correctly. when can I shower/ wash my face? and how soon can i apply my skincare and sunscreen on? I asked her about sunscreen but she told me to keep it dry. Is wearing hydrocolloid bandages okay as well?
Please provide me your best expertise, i should have asked my doctor but she did not know English and google translate did not translate well.

Any recommendations for a concealer that won't cake on skin after deep resurfacing? I did a full face TRL (similar to Co2) 2 months ago, my skin looks amazing yay but I still have some pink/healing areas. I've tried a few creamy concealers but everything ends up curdling, sitting on top of the skin, not blending in. My serums, moisturizer & suncreeen are Skinceuticals and Biolique Recherche. No prob with any of those products.

After CO2 laser, your skin is more sensitive and susceptible to UV light. For best results and to avoid hyperpigmentation, avoid sun exposure altogether for 4 weeks after your treatment. Wear coverings, a hat, sunscreen, or avoid completely.

Hi, during the healing process (5-7 days), AVOID ACTIVE PRODUCTS as they may cause irritation to the treated area. This includes all of the following: any form of retinol, hydroquinone, salicylic/glycolic/lactic acid, vitamin C, or Benzoyl Peroxide, etc. And I would recommend you start at a lower concentration ie. mix moisturiser with Vitamin C serum after 7 to 9 days.

I had a laser treatment yesterday and i do bought a sun screen as said.I apply sunscream at 10am daily.My doctor told me that it isn't necessary to reapply sunscreen as iam staying indoors all time.

Hi, Sunscreen is crucial for those who spend hours indoors too. Sunlight through the windows and the light emitted by devices harm the skin and hasten its ageing process. However, It's up to you. If the house has a lot of sunlight during day time, I would apply sunscreen at home.
