One thing I wanted to add about your battery drainage: in addition to the cold weather, another major reason could be that the phones in India have different bands as compared to telecom operators in Canada, and it is possible the telecom operator you are using in Canada has fewer towers tuned to the frequency at which your phone is connecting with the network. This is a reason why phones from India have poor network outside major cities in Canada. Because of this, your phone has to work significantly harder to contact the cell tower as compared to a phone that was specifically designed for the cellular bands for Canada.
On wifi speed Most laptops use 2.4Ghz band which can accommodate up to 30-40 mbps, whereas mobile devices support both, 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz band. Looks like you have a dual band wifi router, which is why you're getting this difference. Thanks for making informational videos. All the best!!
Sorry man but this is not how it works 5ghz only gives bigger packages not Speed, Speed is dependent on your broadband connection. (Wired connection speed with wireless connection)Phone don't need or have 5ghz.

U need to flash the device with Canadian Software. It's like reinstalling OS but with a Canadian version. It's not rooting as u would download OS from Samsung website.
About the difference in your connection speeds (phone vs laptop): It could be that your phone has a “dual network acceleration” (I think it is called Adaptive WiFi in Samsung) that allows your phone to connect to your WiFi and cellular network at the same time. One way to check for this would be to put your phone in airplane mode first and then enable your phone’s WiFi and then run the speed test.
For Samsung Pay, clear out the cache and data and then Samsung Apps, select the new country. And also, cold weather affects battery but not much. Just the voltage is different so you're experiencing it.

Before you do make sure to backup everything like SMS, Whatsapp Chat, related floders and files stored inside the internal storage of phone etc. to laptop using a USB 3.0 cable and usb port on your laptop for quick transfer speeds. Make sure to delete Temp files and thumbnail folders from picture folders like DCIM (this folder has your camera photo) and whatsapp's media folder. As these slowdown the transfer speeds. These files are not important for backup. TRIPLE check before deleting anything. After resetting try to setup the phone as required like location-Canada in setup screen and other apps like samsung pay. Maybe this could help to activate Samsung Pay.
bro that's the issue of MIMO if ur laptop doesn't support MIMO then u will see fluctuating wifi speed 'coz nowadays almost all phones are equipped with MIMO and selected laptops are enabled with this feature under this price range. also if ur laptop is certified with wifi 5 not with wifi 6 then u will face less wifi speed on ur laptop.
Regarding wifi issue. There are 2 band 2.4ghz and 5ghz. If you connect to 5ghz you will reach higher speeds. If your laptop can not connect to 5 ghz then buy a external usb wifi card having 5ghz card.
Hey brother, About your wifi situation in laptop. See Man isme kya Hain ki new samsung phones usually have wifi 6 right but older laptops or cheaper Indian laptops don't have wifi 6 and you have one with 8th gen i5 which is old I think so that can be the reason. What you can do is, take your friends laptop which is relatively new and check the speed at your home again, I'm pretty sure you'll have better speeds than your older laptops. The laptops are not receiving good bandwidth Speed because they are old laptops and it doesn't have dual bandwidth support. You have to take the laptop which has Wifi 5 or WiFi 6 connectivity. Then it can catch your original wifi speed.

Your old laptop is same as mine HP 15BS180TX. Wifi card can't be changed in that one....but in your new laptop, check whether the Wifi Card is swapable or not. If yes, get the latest Wifi 6E card and install it's compatible drivers. HP uses Wifi 4 card on it's laptops but if your laptop supports Wifi upgradability, you can switch to the latest Wifi card. Wifi 6E cards are phenomenal. :D
You can change your firmware from india to canada. Download it using kies software or samsung firmware official website. Then u can search how to put that firmware into your phone. This is official process and no root at all. I have done this multiple times when i was using Samsung

Laptop network issue is because of wifi card. Most probably your laptop wifi card isn't a good one. Try changing wifi card or connection to a 5ghz network (if your laptop supports dual band) otherwise just use wired connection.
I think you are getting low speed because using your laptop's inbuilt wifi , try using a wifi adapter ,a good one .Its like an external wifi that people use for computer as computers do not come with inbuilt wifi. It can be used for laptops as well. That should pick up the speed.

Yes i have same experience back in 2017 with samsung pay, i got my samsung device from Dubai and my samsung pay was not supporting my indian debit card. This thing has something to do with country from where the mobile belong. It only supports local debit card with local banks. No other, as i am unable to add my indian debit card in my dubai based samsung galaxy. Later, this confirmed when i spoke to customer support executive and knew the reason. This also included in samsung pay guidelines and terms and conditions too.

one more thing whether you are having an indian version of mobile or international as mostly smartphones which are being sold in india are specificaly for indian markets and are having features according to that only, so its better to have international version of mobile like iphone international model and as you told your samsung came with exynos processor so it wont be an international model and that's the reason you are getting these issues

Try this to fix ur indian phone: Backup your data and factory reset it. Go through the initial android setup again and this time select Canada as your default zone. This should optimise the android system and all the apps to work for canada. I faced similar problem when I moved to Australia. Despite changing the region and the zones from my google settings, it did not enhance my apps untill I reset the phone and redo the initial setup. I used to face problems with google maps. Despite google knowing my current location as Australia it failed to show me several addresses properly which were coming up just fine on local devices. This issue was fixed after the factory reset. Maybe ur problem would be fixed this way too. The phone finally downloaded huge amount of files relevent to Australia which it was simply not doing before. All my apps were automatically updated to work for Australia this way. Hope it helps!

You should check if it is 30Mbps or 30mbps. There is a difference between bits and bytes. Bits is smaller unit.
Change your WiFi chip or take usb WiFi receiver

Try this to fix ur indian phone:
Backup your data and factory reset it. Go through the initial android setup again and this time select Canada as your default zone. This should optimise the android system and all the apps to work for canada.
I faced similar problem when I moved to Australia. Despite changing the region and the zones from my google settings, it did not enhance my apps untill I reset the phone and redo the initial setup.
I used to face problems with google maps. Despite google knowing my current location as Australia it failed to show me several addresses properly which were coming up just fine on local devices. This issue was fixed after the factory reset. Maybe ur problem would be fixed this way too.
The phone finally downloaded huge amount of files relevent to Australia which it was simply not doing before. All my apps were automatically updated to work for Australia this way.
