Wait a minute, I’m watching this in 4K on an OLED tv, what is going on with Quality mode? Why does the performance mode seem to have higher quality textures?
Quality is better, you just literally have to be up close to your TV. This won’t show much. So honestly just play on Performance if you want a fluid experience unless you’re playing in a TV that’s like 75+ inches…
I just bought the PS5 version, and the first fight I kind of regret not buying the PC version. My PC runs RX6600 XT w Ryzen 5 3600XT, for FHD maibe would be a little better performance, idk
I got a new LG C4. And a Good HDMI cable with VRR n ALLM. But it still doesnt run wel on Quality and Balance . . So i guess performance is the way to go
Oled tvs do not handle low fps games so well due to some fast moves vs "default" tv frequency, if you want to play it you need to disable game mode and enable true motion option, it will look a lot smoother, like 50fps+, but the input lag breaks a lot the experience... I played a lot of FF7Rebirth with this config, but on harder fights I changed due to the necessity of faster moves.
Idc if the graphics arent as good (Literally anything is better than my pc) but is there anything to worry about with Performance mode? Any glitches, freezes, frame drops, etc?
@@BamilotanG no it doesn't help unfortunately. And nothing really helps the framerate issue, especially later in the game. Hope they patch something in soon to fix it honestly.
i will never understand how people would choose quality over performance mode. When it switched from performance to quality mode at 2:12 I thought the video was lagging lmao. So jarring watching 30 fps 10x worse playing it
@@mathewhosier9739 its something that vary from gamer to gamer i cant stand 30 on first person games but i dont care about the frame rate on third person i prefer the better looking game and performance mode on this game has less than 1080p resolution and they use frame gen so it has terrible input lag it may look like 60 but feels worse than 30 if we talk about response times
The game works well, the problem I see is that in some areas there are drops in fps, especially in boss fights, but nothing serious, what does leave you wanting is the resolution, especially from the 2nd chapter onwards, but it is playable.
It's mostly the devs mate not the hardware. They did little to no optimisation for console. They pretty much just added some frame generation for performance mode and called it a day. There wasn't much time spent on optimisation at all. It's a key part of why some games look and run so good. That's why console exclusives look and run so well, because they're made and optimised for PS5 from the ground up. I'd say it comes down to the ability of the dev, they aren't Insominiac or Naughty Dog
Maybe it has to do with the frame interpolation. The game in performance mode runs at 30fps that is upscaled with frame generation to 60fps. It looks like a 60fps game, but with the input lag of a slightly lower than 30fps game.
Does the game run as smooth as god of war ragnarok at performance mode? Is the frame rate stable and smooth? I thought elden ring on performance mode looked shit because of the frame rate dropping so often. @-VossGaming-
@@elias123456789istif you thought elden ring looked bad with the very occasional drop in frame rate because of area transitions then you'll hate this game. On console it's uses frame generation to make it look like 60fps which LOOKS good, but my god if I press another button that isn't registered by the game I'ma break my controller. Don't get me wrong, great game, but it's best work is done on a high end PC if you have it.

At the moment on performance mode there is some button latency issues so I'm playing on quality
i played on quality i can see big frame drop esp when u sprint
I played both and no issues with perfomance mode
The noise level is pretty grotesque in both versions. Quality does look better but the frame drops are pretty bad.
PLEASE WHAT IS BETTER PERFORMANCE MODE OR QUALITY MODE ??? THANKS
In my case Performance mode introduced quite a noticeable input lag. I'm sticking to quality

The quality modes framerate is unacceptablely low, only performance mode runs at a decent framerate, its a much smoother experience in performance
