Hey weird question.... my sweet 10yo girl is new to the furry cosplay thing. Her and her best friend actually have become really good at making their own costumes. But I've heard there are some adult themed things involved in the whole furry ting....forgive my ignorance on this as we're all brand new to it. But what sort of movie rating would you give the Texas Furry Siesta?
Given these are public spaces, I always recommend conventions (whether they be anime, video game, or furry) be considered PG. The world always has spicy content, and every form of modern media may have things that generally won't be worse than what you'd see in a PG movie or Netflix series. I would even say that anime and videogame conventions are more "adult" on average than a furry con, and unless you are going out of your way to encounter it, you probably won't notice it. If walking past a Pride Parade or Victoria's Secret store in the mall would be considered offensive to you, well, I can't help with that. From what I've heard from other people, Siesta is just Fiesta but smaller and more local, so there is even less of a chance to see anything worse than what you'd see at your local Pride Parade. That being said, I've never been to Siesta, but I've been to Texas Furry Fiesta. I would say its perfectly fine, but the closer you get to "after dark" hours, the more likely you, personally, may find things that may be risqué or distasteful. That being said, you'll never find anything explicitly worse than PG, and generally never in public con spaces or dealer areas. You can see my other coverage for Texas Furry Fiesta for yourself, as I both cover "normal" hours and "after dark" hours in public spaces in many videos from pervious years. Speaking from experience, I've seen much worse things on the internet when I was 11 on social media or a movie theatre than I've ever seen at a convention. Regardless, I'd say a furry convention is probably a safer place than most game or anime cons nowadays haha.
