This program always gives me a lot of nostalgia. I remember I used to be scared of the UP 3985 train when i was little lol. I'm happy to see this video up!
I used to be scared of it too I’ll admit lol. It always long bell 3 chimes and Hooters got me back then, Ironically it was the OY that gave me memories cause that scared me more than 3985 for some reason
3985 didn't scare me when I was younger it was 473. It has such an eerie whistle that sent shivers down my spine when I was younger. Now since I'm older, I actually love 473's whistle.
That there was some great nostalgic winter holiday rail fanning videos during the Christmas December season even the ones filmed back in the 1980’s and 90’s, it still feels nostalgic. Happy holidays and Merry Christmas Les Jarrett, and happy new year. 😉🎄
I have every single disk from your series. Out of all of them, Steam in the Spring, Choo Choo Christmas, and Garden Railroad Spectacular are my favorites.
This Is Great Watching Choo Choo Christmas Featuring Clinchfield Challenger #676 & Winter Freight Canada CPR & CN There's Also a Steam Powered Santa Train With Kentucky's Central Ex Reader Railroad 2-6-2 Praririe #11 😊😊😊 🚂🚂🚂
20:24 "It's hard to believe that scenes were recorded in the early part of the month of May". Well, I actually don't really find that hard to believe as in Denver, I've sometimes seen snow come down as late as May.
I had a dvd version of this with different music and without the bonus scenes. It was smashed together with other videos made by TOPICS and RP. “Alphabet train”, “Awesome Trains” and “I wanna be an engineer”. Great stuff, although OY’s hooter whistle and 3985’s 3 chime always scared me when I was little. I mean I basically got used to 3985’s whistle so I wasn’t as scared of it but man, OY’s whistle still gives me chills, toned down from walking out of the room kinda scary and it’s more just “wow listen to that” but still. Fly high Greg Scholl, didn’t watch stuff from you much but when I did, man it was awesome from your narrations to your filming and your friend’s amazing music on whatever version.
12:56 This locomotive is no longer in use. Transkentucky Transportation Inc. (the TTI railroad in this program which owned the locomotive) was bought in large parts by CSX in 1991, who no longer permits steam on their tracks. The locomotive appears to have last run in 1993 and has been on display for a long time since then.
I have so many railway productions, DVDs in my home media collection. My favorite one is Santa Fe mainline memories. I think your videos are awesome and you guys also inspired me to make my own railroad videos for my video company Which is called ARVPvideos I hope you all have a Merry Christmas, and a Happy new year
10:46 Well I’ll be. The European NS DE4 down in its second hand operator in Canada. Note: these didn’t last long in Canada because these Engines came from the Netherlands on the Trans Europe Express (a train that runs across Europe) these couldn’t handle toe Canadian winters.
Very generous of you guys doing this! 🎉
RIP Greg Scholl

It is pretty cool that this program not only featured steam locomotives, but also diesel and electric.
