glue dots? Look inside the Woodland Scenics window "light blocker" kit! They use glue dots to hold either a wax paper/parchment paper (to difuse the lights through the windows or black paper (for unlit rooms). Also, when you buy many types of "grass tufts", they are mounted on a small glue dot. They could also be used during mock-ups of buidings.

If Pixel Parker picked a peck of purchased products, how many purchased products did Pixel Parker Pick? Thanks for sharing the inexpensive finds.

Glue dots are great and I use them alot. Did you know that they come in "temporary" and "permanent"? Use them to test fit pieces etc.

I’m not sure if I knew this or not. But it’s certainly useful information.

You could use the magnets to hold buildings to the backdrop....

Here is what I use those magnet dots for. If it gives you any ideas. I have a small medal basket on my desk that I keep my paper clips in and have on more than one occasion knocked over. So paperclips all over the place. Now what I do is put some clips in put one or two the magnet dots in and fill the rest of the way with paper clips. Now when I knock it over I have a nice ball of paper clips I can pick up and put back in the basket.

It’s a very cheap solution if you buy them at the dollar store.

I like to use that thin foam board for school projects,I use it for all sorts of things like the black sheet for roads or I mostly use it when I'm working on a structure or railcars,if I need to move it and work on something else I can do so without disturbing the model and simply on it and move the whole thing over..

I always get foam core from the dollar store. It's useful for all kinds of things, including, as you mention, moving things around.

I buy all my throw away items there too. Mixing dishes for plaster , cups for glue and much more. The foam board works well for certain things as well.

That goes without saying! Why pay a fortune for something you’re going to toss?

@@ThePixelDepotLLC it’s like woodland scenics plasters… all over priced in smaller containers. Joint compound and plaster of Paris haven’t let me down yet , only saved me $ lol. The plaster cloth is super cheap on Amazon too.

The el cheapo paint markers. I picked up a couple in black. Great for a base coat on wheel faces, as craft paint won't stick to the unpainted surface.
The dollhair store here has foamcore boards on the cheap too.

I use a magnetic type of button to hold my scenic forma in place. I usually put the button on the base of the mountain, a thin piece of metal on the base of the road and then the magnetic hold will hold the hill or mountain in place but release it if you want or have to move the item. I've also used them to hold buildings in place. Oh my, the tape Lego might be used to position hills and mountains like the magnets I mentioned. I'll have to see about that. The dollar and a quarter store, not bad!!!!

I really like this idea. I might try to use that for the coal pile that will go in the middle of my Consolidated Coal loop (which happens to be over a pop-up access hatch.)

@@ThePixelDepotLLC Just make sure that the magnets you buy will hold the parts together but not be to strong to easily get them apart. I made a real mistake the first time and it felt like I had glued the parts together. All it needs is just enough to hold things together.

I like to get different sizes of containers to use for storage. I also get paints and spray glue. And I am always looking for new items to use.

Great idea about the containers. In the past I've used the disposable ones from the grocery store, but no need to pay a premium for them, especially since you're probably not needing them to be airtight for most modeling purposes.

Thanks for the Video. The 99 Cent store is another great place to look for items. And like the Dollar store, the 99 Cent store is no longer 99 Cents. More like $1.99
