- Pretty much everything I learned as a resident in terms of the sequencing of airway management in ED has changed over the past 15 years. No longer is there simply RSI or stick a laryngoscope in with nothing and use pure brute force to intubate a patient; we have a host of different options and pathways when approaching airway management in the emergency department.
This lecture discusses some of these updated ways of getting from a sick patient requiring airway management to a tube between the cords…with only minor technical mishaps.
You exude a level of energy that is truly incredible and very infections! God bless you. Dr. Basu( India)
I adore this guy talks ! Keep the great job
Who disliked this video? One person? Old school medicine had no place when you consider doing the right thing by your patient. Trying to get DSI/Ketamine and Rocc in our EMS system currently.
They might have disliked how there are no visuals/slides
Rocc for EMS! God help us!
Love this guy!
I've noticed whenever they show a picture or graph that it isn't shown in the video. Can that be integrated in future videos?

Wish I could see the powerpoint slides he keeps referring to.

He didn't throw the remote control to the ground. Tremendous self-control.
Would you still recommend DSI to paramedics?
I think that if you are allowing your paramedics to perform RSI, then their toolkit should be completed to include DSI. Its nearly the same as having RSI without surgical cric, whereby you have a nearly complete toolkit that is missing a critical element.
Could someone explain to me how the preoxygenation method for dsi works which he told of?
Non-rebreather + nasal cannula. Switch to non-invasive CPAP if sats stay under 95
Preoxygenation is the thing. Fill the lungs withg oxygen and you'll have time to think/intubate.
How many COVID patients would have lived if they had only stayed away from the hospital?
You're wrong for doing that to people
You don't chemically castrate people to justify the means try working with them first
