A View to a Kill Potentially controversial opinion: much like Thunderball, FYEO is a beautiful film but is just a bit bland for the most part. Its saving grace, however, is how good the last 20 minutes are; the mountain-climbing scene is intense and the assault on Kristatos' villa is a pretty neat climax
Hi Bryan, great video mostly agree with your rankings bud. I'd put Moonraker a bit higher and SWLM a bit lower but otherwise I'm pretty much with you 😀 loved your thoughts on Dalton doing AVTAK. I've often thought the same, it was always a shame that TD only got the 2 movies. Octopussy is my favourite of Roger's I've just started making movie related movies on UA-cam too. Been thinking about doing a series on 007 film's as they are some of my favourites. Cheers for a great video
My Moore Ranking: 7. The Man With The Golden Gun 6. A View To A Kill 5. Moonraker 4. Octopussy 3. For Your Eyes Only 2. The Spy Who Loved Me 1. Live And Live Die Love the videos !
Sir Roger Moore is my 007. 1. For Your Eyes Only 2. Spy Who Loved Me 3. A View To a Kill 4. Octapussy 5. Man with the Golden Gun 6. Moonraker 7, Live and Let Die. Before I checked your videos I have never saw Moore's age in a View to a Kill and I have seen that movie like 20 times or more.
Good to see View To A Kill getting some love here. The pre credits sequence is poor, and Moore is far too old, but the story, villain, etc. are excellent. Max Zorin has to be one of the best Bond baddies, and I also like the (at the time) cutting edge microchip silicon valley story. The music and addition of Patrick Macnee as Bond's sidekick complete the package. Great film. And, if that wasn't controversial enough, I also really like The Man with the Golden Gun...
Roger Moore was a very successful Bond, but I agree, Timothy Dalton should have taken over in A View To A Kill as Moore was passed it. Roger Moore should have made Octopussy his last. He would have finished on a high, and Timothy Dalton would have done at least three Bond movies instead of two. My Ranking: 7. A View To A Kill 6. Moonraker 5. Octopussy 4. The Man With The Golden Gun 3. Live And Let Die 2. For Your Eyes Only 1. The Spy Who Loved Me
Nice video, very enjoyable to watch. I’m a 40+ year fan, I just did another rewatch of all the films (Last was in 2010). These are my rankings of the Moore Films 7. Moonraker 6. The Man with the Golden Gun 5. For Your Eyes Only - This used to be my favourite Moore film but over the last 20 years it’s lost a lot of luster for. 4. Octopussy - Very enjoyable film. 3. Live and Let Die - This is a classic and being an introduction to Roger Moore it was beautifully crafted. Moore could not come in and try to top Connery he had to be different, plus the suit he wears in NYC is stunning. 2. A View to a Kill - I get the faults of this film but each time I watch it I enjoy it more and more. This is a classic Bond movie, great opening scene and final scene, nice locales, menacing villain, awesome hench-woman, etc and it has two of the most intense scenes of any Bond Film in it. This is just a fun movie for me to watch,. 1. The Spy who loved me - When I think Bond this movie this and FRWL come to mind, in fact these are two I recommend new Bond watchers to watch first.

Hey Bryan, its always good to see people do their Bond movie rankings as i find everyone is different. Roger Moore has really grown on me over the years, he is my 2nd favourite Bond just behind Sean Connery. Here are my rankings for the Roger Moore Films 7- A View To A Kill- Moore just too old on here, too many cringe moments. I agree the only saving grace is Christopher Walken 6- Octopussy- I don't hate this one, as its one of those fun Sunday afternoon movies. Just overall not as well made as some of the other ones. Some good villain scenes though and i like the action scenes in the jungle as well as on the train 5- The Man With The Golden Gun- I always feel this hasn't aged well over time, i think the potential here was huge with Bond finally meeting his match with Scaramanga (The wonderful Christopher Lee), they just didnt play on this idea enough. 4- Moonraker- Funny this one has grown on me more as i got older, its one of those Bond films that when I'm sick or just in a mood i will go and watch it. I like Hugo Drax (the main villain), although i do agree it kinda goes down in the 2nd half of the movie i just have a a lot of quotable memories in this one 3- For Your Eyes Only- Its funny most of the time when someone does a Bond ranking this always ranks low but this is actually really high for me. As you discussed John Glen added a darker tone in this one which i thought worked well as for the most part Roger Moore was more comical and fun loving. To see Moore act cold and kick that car over the cliff i thought was one of his best moments in the series. 2- Live and Let Die- This is one of other Bond movies i watch quiet a bit, so many memorable moments and like you said some of the best villains and side villains of all time. Also Jane Seymour's first movie, she was stunning in it. Why i like this one is that it is a bit different to a lot of the other ones, a great introduction for Moore i feel. 1. The Spy Who Loved Me- Had to agree with your first, this is actually my 2nd favourite Bond movie all of time. I think it wonderfully captures all those Bond elements so well, so many great action sequences, a good villain and one of the best henchmen of all time in Jaws. I actually had a crush on Barbra Bach (Agent Triple X) when i was younger. Good video, will have to watch the Connery list as well and give you my thoughts on that one. Keep up the Bond Love!!!!!!!!!

he is still my favorite James bond actor, cause he dared to do something different with the character, by making it more comedic. What's with people liking characters that are serious all the time i really don't get that, since in the reality we live in where we gotta relax and take things easy as well, too much seriousness is just weird and awkward to watch, it just doesn't feel natural. like i can't stand Daniel Craigs Assasin James bond, its way to violent for that character, he isn't Rambo.
1 Spy who loved me (a bit too long though) 2 Octopussy (fun, guilty pleasure) 3 Live and let die ( basic Bond) (Sometimes i change my mind 1 spy 2 Live and let 3 octopussy) 4 Moonraker (Guilty pleasure, Drax) 5 For your eyes only (Boring) 6 The man with the golden gun (Boring) 7 A view to a Kill (Moore too old)

Funny how we both have the same number 1 but the rest are all over the place. Below is my ranking and quick thoughts on each:
7) Octopussy - at this point Moore felt old. In my opinion, his disguise as a clown late in the movie symbolized that the filmmakers really thought of the character as a joke.
6) A View To A Kill - Moore looked even older haha. As a kid I had a thing for Tonya Roberts’ character but now that I am older I see her character as an utter annoyance in constantly in need of saving. But I did like the set pieces and Zorn is a charismatic villain

4) Live and Let Die - great stunt work and I really laugh whenever the Sherriff is on screen. Yaphet rules too.
