Tbh, if Bboom Bboom didn't exist and all the comparisons didn't as well, BAAM alone is a great comeback. It's still fresh, it's catchy and I think Momoland has finally found their staple. And it works!
my thoughts exactly! i think it's just the effect of the high expectations from bboom bboom but after listening to the song a dozen times it's so so goood!
The people who are complaining I get it but also realize many groups have done the same thing. Once they catch their first hit the next one is usually similar to continue to bring more fans in. The next comeback I’m sure will be different. I mean you can’t tell me that both songs didn’t hype you up and make you wanna dance. I loved this song and I don’t have an issue with it being similar because it’s still working for them and just in general is a great song.
The only reaction I actually loved for this comeback! Too many people focusing on what they really shouldn't be focusing, they forget to actually enjoy the song and music video! Song's a 10/10, just like Bboom Bboom
they finally found their sound and they understand their roles better now. Jooe once said they got complimented for their energy a lot so they are pretty much aware of it. I hope they continue this road of just fun vibes. awesome reaction btw.
I'm waiting on people to realize that JooE has major visual/faceofthegroup vibes in the same way Yeonwoo & Nancy! She has always been so pretty & fresh looking to me! I like how full & plushy her facial features are. Plus, she always has the best hair game! haha.
Thanks for the positive reaction! I'm glad you pointed how it's similar but different and it's part of their image and sound! Many people cant see/understand that. I didnt mind it sounded similar as I'm used to kpop groups doing this especially when they stick to a music genre, they repeat a lot of things! I actually love this song a lot more than Bboom!
Nice reaction ! I personally liked this song from MOMOLAND way better than BOOM BOOM ! I saw a lot of ppl criticising them claiming that the song sounds exactly like their previous Bop but I find that very irrelevent, because the only thing that's similar is the genre and the song structure, which is fine, what's wrong with using the same formula that got that famous ? Other that those two, the song sounds completely different from BOOM BOOM and I personally would give it a solid 10 even though I am not even a fan of MOMOLAND, I am just being objective and true to my taste in music.
EXACTLY!!!!!!!....very well written !!!!!! I was like come on is such an amazing song, it's been on replay when it came out.!!!! I get so hyped for this song, and I start dancing from their choreography from BAAM just by listening to it !!!!
Everyone's like "Oh my god it's just the same song as BBoom BBoom." Like who gives a duck. You all loved BBoom BBoom, so why do you care that Baam has the same sound? Just enjoy the song the girls worked hard and deserve love, not hate. Also I'm so excited to see them at KCONLA.
your one of those rare reactions that said they should continue with that vibe from BOOM BOOM and not comparing it with BOOM BOOM. IT SUCH AN AMAZING COMEBACK!!!!!. love your reaction!!!!
you should really listen to their side tracks cause it's good! bboom bboom and baam side tracks are my faves. they haven't won yet because they've just comeback on stage but next week we'll find the results. keep supporting momoland! ^_^
Every person can have his own opinion, I respect all. but when it comes to people who repeatedly say "It's too similar with their previous bop, and I don't like it." I can tell them "You can listen to their previous songs before Bboom bboom. They are also quite good and clearly different. Why didn't you try that and only complaining?" I also think that Baam sounds quite similar with Bboom bboom. No doubt it. On their press conference(showcase), Yeon-Woo said "Baam is kinda expansion of Bboom bboom in some way, we can do another try maybe next time." (Not exact words she said, but I took that way. I'm native Korean and English is not my mother-tongue.) But can we call that it is bad or something? I can call myself their old fan. Well, now almost listeners of this song are from Bboom bbomm, obviously. I guess they wanted MMLD a similar vibe just like this more than new challenge. They are just in the proccess making their color clear. If I were their decision-maker, I would do the exactly same thing. They considerately took their listener's demand and did quite well. I'm not sure Baam will be very successful as much as Bboom bboom were. It could be not. But music-wise, I feel Baam is better, especially the second half(?). Mmld have had many anti-fans, even before they were broken through. I can come up with some possible reasons, but don't see anyone reasonable. P.S. : New mini album of Elris has been released yesterday. Could feel not that much impressive. But if you guys' OK. Please watch this. ua-cam.com/video/tpLro7n3PWo/v-deo.html
I think my expectations were too high after bboom bboom. I figured since they got really big they would do something different with a similar vibe. But the producers played it safe and made it almost the same song with minor differences. The vocal arrangement is the same, same chorus dance, and same key.
It has the same structure and formula as "Boom Boom." I like it, it sounds good, but it is very close, too close, to Boom Boom, they have talent, but I wanted something a little different to show off their talent. This does not expand their sound and portfolio of works. It just keeps to the same. It is very safe. That said, it is catchy, and will sound good next to Boom Boom, and the album is good.
It was too similar but as people said, as a standalone song it's catch, especially the chorus for me. Haven't checked the album out yet but it sounds good from the preview I saw.
Now... I realize there are going to be a lot of people seeking to flay me alive and feast upon my steaming entrails for saying this, but somebody has to. This is just lazy. Even if you're a fan of the group, you can't in good conscience go condoning this sort of thing. They had MONTHS to work on this very important comeback for the group and *this* is what they came up with? They took the exact same tempo and instrumentation from Bboom Bboom, stole the choreography from "This is America" and "Dame Tu Cosita," added an absolutely cringe-inducing rap section, and some really inappropriate cultural appropriation and called it "BAAM?" I guess "Bbaam Bbaam" would have been a little too obvious, or something... It's like Dubblekick didn't even TRY to come up with something original. This song and video is the perfect example of when people describe Kpop as being over-saturated. Bboom Bboom was plagiarized already. This is cannibalization. I was hoping standards in the Kpop industry hasn't fallen THIS low already, but if this becomes another hit for them, I would be most definitely wrong. Tragic.
FINALLY SOMEONE WHO ACKNOWLEDGED THE VOCALS AND DIDN’T MISS THE HIGH NOTE !!!
*PS - The High Note Was Taeha*

the high notes was awesome...
i like this song.

TAEYEON has another new song out - "Stay" check it out :)
The only reaction I actually loved for this comeback! Too many people focusing on what they really shouldn't be focusing, they forget to actually enjoy the song and music video! Song's a 10/10, just like Bboom Bboom
