well.. bad assumptions "uber take 20% of rides.."...nope.. it can be up to 60%.. and then the solutions "prioritize matches for new drivers".. this one of the major complaining from long term drivers and then "hotspot map".. with out the algorithm giving priority to the driver to come back making money to its original place, it is also a horrible solution.
Thank you so much Dianna! This video is amazing with super helpful tips. I was wondering, How would you balance coming up with hypotheses/your own root causes to explore VS asking the interviewer for data to pinpoint a right answer? For example, when brainstorming possible drop off points in the funnel, would you generate hypotheses for different drop off points and come up with your own reasons of open ended possible causes? OR would you ask the interviewer directly is there a specific point the churn is coming from to pin point it?
@@diannayau It's kind of dependent on what's happening at the time. Most non-MAANG companies in my experience are highly behavioural, so I've watched those videos several times. I'm interviewing at Canva, so strategy and execution/analytical videos have been helpful for the stage of the process I'm in. I love your observation in the "favorite product" videos that a good answer will start with the problem and move on to strategic opportunities - I've used that tip to great effect in my interviews. The next stage of the Canva process is, I hear, that they will give me a bunch of data and ask me to create a 3-year roadmap to 4x revenue at the company. It would be interesting to see a video about the use of data in interviews.

Thanks Dianna! This sounds more like a root cause analysis question to me. Am I wrong?
I have watched multiples of your video. They're very helpful and insightful comparing to other PM Interview video on YT. Thank you so much.

Hi Dianna, super content. Can you help me with a system or framework to come up with user personas in an interview, I struggle with this part.
Diana, thank you for sharing! This was very helpful.
You make some of my favourite product interview content on UA-cam, Dianna. Thank you so much.
So glad to hear it’s been helpful! Would love to know what’s been the most helpful!
