My first and favorite Guardian beast is Kutty. I just find him so cute and really felt attached to him throughout my playthrough. Btw, if I remember correctly, Sugar kisses the character in the first scenes(either summoning or at the ship) if the character is female.
You got me curious there, so I started a new file to check. Indeed, she does kiss her right after the summoning. Sugar just wastes no time in getting intimate. XD And Kutty seems cool, he is cute and from the little I've seen of him, I think I'd have a good time going through the game again with him.
note - if you play a girl... >^.^< Sugar still wants to marry you.
