How could anybody dislike this video? An English legend, an Irish legend and the legendary captain of the lions all having a giggle with eachother, this is what rugby is all about for me. Amazing video
A little of this goes a long way for me. The camaraderie and the memories are all built on the pitch. I think you can tell when they've had too much of the showroom stuff themselves: the banter gets into those tramlines. I'd rather still smell the mud, feel the air, look over the shoulder of Joe Karam from the terraces at Ravenhill, even play at school for the half dozen times a match I might get a run with the ball. That puts this stuff in context as long as they're still talking about rugby.
Willie John his only glory captaining the Lions v S,Africa but what about John Dawes the great Welsh centre he captained the winning series in NZ in 71 but doesn't get the same media attention maybe because he his a quiet man who gives most of the credit to the coach who was the great Carwyn James he never lost a game to NZ he even beat them with Llanelli .
Iam sure that a tribute to John Dawes can be found on UA-cam if you care to look but Willie John was also an Ireland and Lion's great and as a Welshman I appreciate this tribute to the man!
That’s the thing about the Six Nations Every one of Ireland, Scotland, Wales, and France dislike the English. Hence for them getting one over on England for those nations is a big deal. However, in my experience once off the field having the craic is the main highlight to all these games. I think that’s what Woody was at here, in my experience he’s a very likeable and reasonable man

Lee Morgan ‘74 is the more famous, or perhaps infamous Lions tour; hence why its captain is talked of more
