Last year, I worked on a renewable energy project in California. The facility needed electricity to operate. The utility estimated that it would take FOUR YEARS to get the electricity hookup permitted and built for the facility! FOUR YEARS!!!! It cost them one renewable energy facility and $47 million in federal IRA funds on just this one project. California isn't like the rest of the world.
