I've literally never solved this thing before. I have sat with one for up to half an hour desperately trying to figure it out. This is very helpful.
When I was In 2nd grade I used to play with that everyday that the teacher got presents for all the students and she got me 25 different types of the slide puzzles

I have the digital version and this method helped alotttttttt..
Bobby Fischer did the puzzle first try in just 17 seconds which is just amazing.

I could solve 1-12 but then couldn’t solve 13,14,15.
Now I solve this 3 time without any problems
There is a game called numpuz. Numpuz is exactly like this, it has many games and the number solving is my favourite i sovled a 3 by 3 in 3 seconds a 4 by 4 in 29 seconds a 5 by 5 in 1 minute and 32 seconds a 6 by 6 in 2 minutes and 4 seconds and a 7 by 7 in 4 minutes.
I love playing this game!

This is the one puzzle I mastered in my youth long before I got into cubing im not 2 seconds maybe more around 8 or 9 seconds. Ive also done both higher order and lower ordered puzzles like this one too

There was a room in Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow where you had to rearrange a puzzle like this to get to different rooms of the castle and to get certain items.

Sliding puzzles are my jam I love them - I actually got a sliding puzzle game that’s 2 player and I’m the champion of it
this is one of the slowest ways to do it. Its easier to racket them up in a way that rotations solve them

Yes! I've once downloaded an app for 15 puzzle when I was bored in a waiting room. Ever since then I started becoming faster and faster reducing from time of 2 minutes to my personal best 7.8 seconds
These are pretty common and popular in mexico, you can find them in a lot of local stores and they're quite easy and fun

Tip for creating a 1234
Put the 1 in 2's place, 2 in 3's place and 3 in 4's place now put a random number in 1's place(except 4) and put 4 under 3 and then remove the random number.
First solve took me 1 minute 30 seconds. After 30 min of practice I could get it to 30-40 seconds

i can do the 63 puzzle (8x8) in 1 minute and because of that i learnt that exact trick just more complicated

I have a mini version of this. It is really fun and comes with a little booklet full of different patterns you can try to make, as well as a few ‘impossible combinations’ that you can’t do, and can use to trick your friends with
I also like to mix them so there are all odd on one side and all even on the other, and then solve it
