Excellent explanation & demonstration. Thank you!
Thank you!!
Very informative and well edited. I would suggest anytime you work around a toilet is to spray or wipe some disinfectant on the toilet. Also putting some type of power on the aluminum parts make them slide around and on faster. Thanks again
nice tips
Great video and demo of setting up the stand. Thanks!
You’re welcome! Glad it was helpful!
How do you adapt the mounting bracket? My toilet has posts instead of screws. The posts don’t line up with the 2 holes. And I don’t have screws. Is there another way to secure the mounting bracket?
Do you hace have to wear scrubs to install rail
Thank you for the instructions. I had the back tube backwards and could not get to fit properly. Easy to follow your video.
May I ask where did you get this? I’d like to purchase one for my gramma.
This is the one that I feature in this video!

@@EquipMeOT Great! Thank you!
I have the same unit which I purchased on Amazon
Not all toilets are the same does not fit any toilets
You are so pretty! ❤️
Thanks for the wonderfully detailed description, especially of the option of omitting an arm in cases where there are obstructions. Made installation a breeze.
Thank you, very informative.
Sound is too low, it's hard to hear the presentation
Very good thanks
Does that not hurt your pecs?
Lindsay I ordered the toilet seat linked here and it was not the same toilet rails that you demonstrated. It was actually one from Medline and though it appears basically the same there are some different adjustments and when I tried to install it it was not at all secure. Have you used the one from Medline and if so , how did you install it to be sturdy and safe. Do you have a video demonstrating installation of that one?
its always gonna feel shakey but you get used to it. It's still safe to use and you've probably already gotten used to it by now as I'm writing this comment 10 months after yours.
Thanks for posting this info! After my father passed away I've been at home taking care of my Mother and things such as this are more important now more than ever!
You really are an Angel 😇 and I deeply appreciate you for sharing such valuable information!
It’s my pleasure to support you and other caregivers on this journey!
These are so unsteady when installed. They move around and are not safe
I’ve been installing these for 10 years and have found that it is very secure if installed correctly and with the proper toilet seat type.
This is a great beginning to end informative tutorial on installing the safety rails and various options for using them. I clicked on this video because I too made a similar video for a different brand/type of safety rails which are similar to the ones you installed and tried to do something similar. My channel is not an OT channel but I do make reviews on different products and at the time I had purchased a few safety items to use for my mom so I did reviews on them. I think these are great videos that can be very helpful to many seniors and those assisting seniors and those who need help. So keep up the great work! You've got a fantastic channel!
😊
I have the situation where the toilet seat slides too much to the left, and the back left push down button is open, and I can't close it. Somebody else installed it.
saw this on Amazon top comment as well
Thanks for your very helpful video. Wishing you all the best! :)
You’re welcome! Thank you for the kind words!
Thanks so much for an excellent demo.
You’re welcome!
Awesome instructions and tips for one side set up
How do i know which seat for me
Very helpful!
great tutorial and explanation! I'm trying to figure out the effectiveness of this device as a stabilizer while standing at the toilet. It looks like the rails arent quite tall enough to be able to hold on to them while standing without having to bend over and down to reach them (my dad is recovering from back surgery...)
This is a common issue with this setup. The most common technique I use for safe male standing urination following back surgery is to stand with a walker set to the appropriate height and use a urinal. Then dump, this is not a perfect solution, but aside from installing custom height grab bars around the toilet or using a standing pole, there aren’t a lot of other options for standing urination.
@@EquipMeOT thank you!
@@EquipMeOTyes. I have one. And I can’t grab the handles BEFORE I sit down. I have to grab and sit at the same time. My thumbs, hands, and collarbone hurt and are getting worse. It’s the VIVE toilet extender with rails attached. But it’s more suitable for a shorter person. And it’s hard to pee in.
@@jackg9006anything I can do?
What about elongated toilet seat. It doesn’t seem to fit. Do I need a special kind?
It should fit regardless of toilet bowl shape. It’s possible the mounting bracket isn’t compatible with the seat type?
@@EquipMeOT I had not adjusted height correctly. It fits fine now. Thank you. Good video
You’re welcome! Glad you were able to get it installed!
Demonstration is unconvincing, commit to the part
Next time you bust your ankle at a children’s trampoline park, you can come be my demo ;)
