1954 Chevy 3100 - 235 Inline Six

- This is a 235 Inline Six bored .80 over. It has Fenton Headers, an Offy intake, two single barrel carbs. The cam and lifters were ground to give it that lope and sound. The collector off the headers goes into one 2 1/2 pipe into a Flowmaster. It has a T5 five speed from a S10 and a 331 Camaro rear end.
When I was much younger I had this exact 235 with dual exhaust Fenton headers going into a single Flowmaster, awesome sound.
Sweet looking truck! That engine sounds really healthy too.

What kind of mpg are you getting with a setup like that I have a 1960 and want to do a similar setup
It suck, LOL!!!!! I got about 16 mpg, that's it.
jurassicrock1950 that better than my v8 truck gets which is around 10-12 mpg

@@imaouima- similar in concept to Hudson’s “Twin H-power” setup they had on that big 308 cid flathead 6. Wonder what numbers he’s getting out of that little Chevy. It sounds pretty good.

There was a shop in town that ground it for me, they specialized in Inline Six engines. I'll have to look for the specs.
So youre collecting both pipes into one flowmaster? Sounds tuff.
Yes, the muffler guy said "Trust Me". and I did. IMO, it sounds much better than a split system.
