Born and bred in London, Anjunabeats started life as a university project in the year 2000. Today, Anjunabeats is one of the world’s best-loved dance labels. Over 700 releases spanning two decades wear the iconic Anjuna ‘A’.
To celebrate, they’ve opened the vault for a handpicked group of artists from the label’s 20-year history. Each artist will sift through thousands of hours of music to create a definitive, mix of their all-time favourite Anjunabeats releases.
On 9 July, Jaytech delivers the fourth mix in the series.
When I started working with Anjunabeats in 2007 I never could have imagined the insane adventures around the globe that were to come over the next decade. From meeting the team for the first time and opening for Above & Beyond in India, to relocating to London to work more closely with the label, to rocking out at Anjuna events across North America and all over the world, it's been an amazing journey.
As a label, they have a consistency and solid foundation rarely found in the music industry. They've re-invented themselves time and again to adapt to massive changes in the music world and have always come out on top, amassing a loyal network of amazing artists along the way. OceanLab - Miracle (Michael Cassette Remix), Sirens of the Sea remixed is a gem that I hold close to my heart. Without a question is my favorite track on this mix. A&B - Prelude is a very close runner up. Please bring back OceanLab plz plz plz plz

I remember climbing Mount Kilimanjaro and as we reached the summit just in time for sunrise the main guide blasted Terminal 6 and suddenly somehow by some miracle we all found energy to dance on the top of Killy during sunrise even though we were exhausted we felt alive...it was literally insane

I normally associate a good intro song with a good set overall. Departures by Trilucid, Milano by Boom Jinx & Jaytech and Terminal 6 by Solarity create a nice narrative loop of songs I used to listen a lot back in 2010.
